Thanks Asy!

Well it took me a while to get on here due to some ignorance on my part as to how the how set-up process works! But here I am ready to fuel my weightloss by positive affirmations and the occasional vent and verbal diarrhoea!!

I've just finished week two and have lost 5.6kg so far which I am absolutely thrilled about. I have started wearing clothes again that I haven't worn in 6 months and am eyeing off all the even smaller sized stuff in my wardrobe. The motivation is really kicking up a notch now that I am seeing these results.

I also noticed this morning that my collarbones are starting to peek through again - yay! Not as much as in my forum pic but we'll get there

Have a great day everyone!

Thanks Julie and Sam for the encouragement!

I am so disappointed in myself. I deviated last night and not just with cohens foods but right off the plan. I've been trying to keep in mind a fabulous quote that I read on this forum somewhere "that if you eat extra cohens foods it's like taking your foot off the accelerator, if you eat non-cohens foods, it's like throwing on the handbrake".

I think I need to write that down to carry around. Perhaps written on the back of a fat photo of me!

The weight I'm at now I consider to be my block. I've got to this weight a few times before and stalled, so it's really important that I push through. I think that's when I'll really believe that this is happening - that slim nat is coming back!

Oh well, I've berated myself and confessed, so now it's time to ditch the guilt, get a new focus and move forward.

I've set myself the goal to be deviation free from now until Friday 11th September (16 days) and to celebrate my success I will buy a pair of fabulous mollini shoes that I have my eye on. I know I should aim to be deviation free for the rest of the plan but I figure if I start small and bribe myself, I might have more success

Alright everyone.. here I go! Have a wonderful day

Well it's been quite a few days since I've felt the need to spew out my thoughts and feelings about this journey. Today I am inspired to do so as I have passed a milestone... the 67kg barrier!

I weighed in at 66.8kg this morning which was only a 0.4kg loss for the week but considering that I had some deviation issues and it's that TOM, 0.4kg is fine. More importantly is the fact that I now weigh 66.something! I am so excited. I've not had cravings for anything at all today! That goes to prove that they're definitely only mental/emotional cravings and deserve to be ignored.

I CAN'T WAIT until I get on the scales next wednesday - how exciting! I wonder what I will weigh then? One thing I know is that I will be so well behaved this week to maximise that result!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Mwah.

Hehe, I reckon you'd have a BIG smile on your face in considering "next Wed"....

Why? Well, there's a few (and they are all out there waiting for you) :-

1. You'll be only TWO days away from those shoes
2. Shed less than 900g in the week to be a 65 girl
3. Shed just 1Kg to be a "Normal BMI" girl (bye-bye to "Overweight!!")
4. With TOM behind you, the above are a given, and a new "64 girl" is on the cards... (depends what your usual TOM retain/release figures do)

In short, Nat, it sounds like an exciting week. Stay excited and make it ALL come true....

OMG, Koh you are a motivation STAR! Thank you!

I knew that all those achievements were within my grasp but I hadn't put it all together. I am extra, extra, extra motivated now! I might pop in to Mollini to try on those shoes just to really top it off!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Cheers,

Ok, so today is results day and whilst I have lost 0.6kg this last week, I feel I am really lucky to do so. I had a really tough week with a tricky situation at a work event where I deviated, after which I gave in to my TOM cravings and ate half a packet of tim tams. The worst part is that I ate the other half the next night!

So, I ruined my two weeks deviation free, which means no new shoes. I also didn't make it in to the 65 range and I didn't reach a healthy BMI this week. The result? I was so disappointed in myself that I couldn't bear to write anything on this forum and I "disappeared" back in to my big clothes to hide. Neither of those things did any good but after a couple of days back on the deviation-free wagon I am now feeling much better and stronger and have lots and lots of new motivation to be good and get this thing done. I'm attending a two day conference next week and emailed the organiser last night to request special meals for dietery reasons, just waiting to hear back.

I have 10.2kg to lose to reach the lower end of my goal weight range, so I have just joined in the 10kg in 8 weeks challenge as that is perfectly timed. I've also set myself some new personal challenges and rewards - I get those shoes when I reach halfway! My diving trip is also looming very close now (3 weeks) so the idea of being in a bikini in that time is also a great motivator!

Alright, my thoughts and new motivation is now committed in writing which is what I needed to clear my head and reset myself. It's onwards and upwards (or downwards on the scales!) from here!

Cheers,
Nat

Go Nat! Don't be too hard on yourself. You will get there I'm sure. It is hard when you have conferences and a little bit of a social life - the temptation is all around. Stay strong though - I reckon you will hit your goal before the 8 week mark

Thanks Talia and Kat for the kind words

I had to get back on here this afternoon as I am feeling so good today and needed to shout it to the world!! I almost got sprung checking myself out in the mirror in the work toilets! I was liking what I was seeing quite a lot. Hehe... I should be careful, people here already think I'm a bit mad!

I have almost completely forgiven myself for the last week but not quite all the way so that I don't forget how it feels when I deviate

I just had the call with the event orgniser to dicuss what I can and can't eat at the conference next week - that was an interesting experience! But I stood my ground and am being served chicken and seasonal vegetables (so hopefully they are cohens veg) for dinner and lunch is a buffet so I can pick and choose. I think I'll take a salad, some crackers and some fruit just in case.

I feel a two kilo week coming people! Stay tuned

Cheers,
Nat

Oh my gosh, thank god it's Friday hey?? I am really struggling to do any work done. All I can think about is the hens night I am going on tomorrow night and the outfit I'm wearing.

I bought a dress off a $10 rack a few weeks ago without trying it on. True impulse buy. I just had to have it and figured that if it didn't fit then $10 wasn't much to lose. It's a black satin mini dress and has feathers attached to the neck line that curl up over my cleavage - so burlesque! Hope it still fits!

The weather in Sydney has turned hot today (29 degrees) and is forecast to last through until Sunday. Upon learning this, I realised that I would have to give up the opaque stockings I was planning on wearing with the dress and bare my legs! Eeek! Not only is the dress far shorter than anything I have dared to wear in a LONG while, but the old English pegs have a fabulous winter moon tan! So I found a beauty salon up the road in Glebe that thankfully, amazingly, surprisingly could fit me in for both a leg wax last night and a spray tan tonight. Phew!

So here I am. Buzzing with excitement because tomorrow night I will go out in this little outfit which, apart from being fabulous (hopefully!), represents my journey and success so far. And for the first time in a long time, I'll look the same as (read: look as hot as) everyone else rather than feeling a bit apart from the rest... and a bit fat.

I had my 4 week consultation last night and am buzzing from that too. It was great to see that the weight loss I have tracked at home matches the results at my clinic. I don't do my measurements at home, so it was great to discover that I've lost 32.7cm all over - 13 just from my waist, which is now well within healthy range. The best part of all is that I've only lost 3cm around the bust - I want to keep as much of that as possible please and just move the back fat!!

We had people over last night for a poker game and three of the guys separately commented on how good I looked. I love that guys generally don't acknowledge that they're referring to weight loss and will instead say something like "you're looking great" or "you're looking fantastic" - probably scared that they'll get it wrong and offend someone. I was a bit surprised at all the attention as I don't think that I look that much smaller than I did a week ago when I saw them last but have put it down to the fact that this time I was wearing tight fitting clothes rather than my relaxed fit clothes that are now looking baggy. I guess it's much easier to see when clothes are fitted. I'm almost tempted to hide in baggy clothes for the next month or so and then suddenly do a big reveal - showing up to a party in small, properly fitting clothes will a new hairstyle and colour! Hehehe

Oh well, this post is becoming REALLY long and I should get a couple of things out before the end of day. To anyone that actually reads this, I apologise for the ramblings. This was more to entertain myself than anything else!!

Have a great weekend everyone

Cheers,
Nat-xx

Well, thanks, hey - as you've entertained me, and a whole lot of others too, I'm sure..... There's nothing like sharing in the "good vibes" that others are experiencing - and you seem to have heaps of them.... You seem to be OD'ing on seratonin and that's GOOD !!!

Enjoy the night, Nat, and.....

Rock on,

Koh

PS Woohoo - look at your ticker - "bye bye Overweight, hello Normal" is just around the corner - 500g should just about do it

Hi All,

Thank you Koh, Tahlia and Kim for your lovely messages I haven't been able to get on here since I wrote that post last Friday and I have been dying to get back on. What a lovely surprise to find such beautiful and encouraging comments waiting for me!!

I had a wonderful time at the hens night. Not exactly Cohens friendly but it was worth it! It was a taste of what life will be like when I am finished. I will have to post some photos for you all.

I had a slow start to the week as I was attending a conference and had some difficulty with their menu plan and their willingness to adapt it for me. But I weighed in this morning and had recovered back to where I was on Saturday morning and managed a small loss for the week. I am back on plan, loving it and wishing the days away because I can't wait until next weigh in to see the results! Koh, I think you're on the money suggesting that I am OD'ing on seratonin!

I have achieved a milestone which I am sure Koh will pick out straight away from looking at my ticker.... my BMI is at 24.9 which is the very, very top of the normal weight range - woo hoo!!!! What a shame that I didn't set myself a reward for this goal. Oh well... I think I splashed out enough for saturday night

Hope you're all having a great day!

Cheers,
Nat-xx
