Hi Hondo,
A couple of questions - have you ever been above 209lbs, or have you stayed around this weight for a while? See, at a BMI of less than 27, you are not hugely overweight, and you could well be quite muscular. Do you really need to lose that much? Knowing a little more about you could help us to help you. Just a big happy hushpuppy I haven't "done" Cohens - Asy knows me from way back - she invited me to "take a look" here - I did, loved it, and stayed... And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !! |

How I Loose weight ? I am suffering with Hypothyroid and taking Thyroxin since Last 7 Months . Now My TSH ,T3 & T4 is Normal but I am feeling very hard to reduce weight . I am doing Exercise, Normal Dieting , Minimum 1 Hour Walking ,Taking Green Tea without sugar but it is very hard to reduce weight . Please tell me my weight Will reduce or not? I am doing very hard work but don't getting success.

There are many ways to lose weight, among the popular weight loss methods include Cohen Diet and some would even try cabbage soup dieting. Whatever type of diet program you choose, make sure that it is the appropriate one for you.

Dude weight loss best tips in my point of view is that
1.Avoid oily foods 2.drink more and morew water 3.Join gym which is the best exmaple of the vweight loss 4.Do smoking

Im also hypothyroid and on thyroxine medication and Cohens is working for me and I don't feel the thyroid problem is a reason to not loose weight especially if you are taking meds for it, obviously prior to being diagnosed you symptom would be unable to loose weight, tiredness, dry hair/nails etc but now you have had bloods done and taking medication it should be fine that's if it is being checked regularly with blood tests etc.
Cohens is perfect for you as I've read it can help thyroid disease. Hope this helps you. |

Can I be brutally honest, you've got to get real and honest about losing weight. My excuse was that I had a slow thyroid and was on thyroxin (diagnosed at 9), I was terrible with medication.
On Cohens' my thyroid regulates back to the way it should and I lose weight. If you are serious about losing weight you have to watch what is going into your mouth - very carefully. Oily, high fat, high carb, soft drinks, alcohols are out. All need to be replaced with veggies, lean protein and even watch those so called low fat mayo and salad dressings. Portion size is important as well. As someone who has struggled losing weight - Dr Cohen is the ONLY diet I highly recommend and know that works at shedding weight successfully. I have tried everything from injections, machines to shakes and grapes - I have done it all. |

I have a problem with my thyroid so losing weight was one of my biggest problem. I find that sticking to healthy diet and avoiding starchy food, caffeine, carbonated drinks, too much red meat and alcohol helps a lot. Plus drinking lots of water. But the biggest contributor to my weight loss was the pill, called Liproxenol, which was recommended by my friend. I felt that it pushed my metabolism a few notches higher so my weight loss became faster than just with the regular exercise and dieting that I do.

If you are finding it hard to reduce weight with other diet plans, you can go for a vegetarian diet, a high protein and low carb diet. May be this will help you to attain your targets. My friend had followed this diet and she got good results and that too without feeling starved. Also, don't forget to drink as much water as you can and add walking, if not exercise in your plans.

I hate diets and my opinions for this case - try to be on a free air as much as you can, try to do exercises and running, of course, if it's possible. I think a loosing weight process shouldn't be dangerous for our health.

I have some simple weight loss tips for you. Drink more water,avoid oily food stuff,do walk daily,eat fruits and avoid over eating. For weight loss running and yoga are also good exercises. So try to follow these tips for weight loss. You will see big change in your weight.

Huh... I'm confused..... Is the above all adverts? This is a forum dedicated to the one & only programme that works! And that's Cohens! You can eat your version of a healthy diet, drink a gallon of water, smoke, exercise and follow all the other ridiculous advise given in this thread so far and u will NEVER lose weight at the rate we do on Cohens! So why look for alternatives? U wasting ur time, energy & money!

hey for instant weight loss you must avoid junk and fast foods like pizzas and burgers. Always try to eat slow. Go for foodstuffs that are good in burning calories for example yogurt, potato,whole milk,eggs, red lean meat etc. Perform regular work outs in order to stay fit and healthy.

As for me diets don't work. We should try to lead a healthy lifestyle - exercises, walking, healthy food and maybe that's all.

Exercise is key to maintaining your weight loss and it's probably more important than diet. On average, people in the Registry exercise between an hour and an hour and a half a day. Yes, that's a lot. But before you despair, it's not as bad as it sounds.
