Default Sam's Third Go Round Diary

Hi everyone, its my third time on Cohen's but my first time with a diary. Maybe this will be the little bit extra that will mean there is no 4th time, right? Last 2 times I didn't get to refeed or maintenance, just lost a bit over 20kg each time and got a bit too pleased with myself. So this time its gonna be 40kg off - that's the goal.

Starting day 1 tomorrow, so spending today just getting shopping etc in order, planning meals for the week (for me and the family! I don't want to be wondering around a supermarket without a purpose when I might be feeling a little bit yuck in a few days) ... just want to get a bit of momentum and excitement going.

The GOOD thing about coming back for the 3rd time, is I KNOW this is a great programme, and after the first week or so I will start to feel great, look younger, healthier, have more energy etc etc. When you do it the first time, you are only HOPING for those things, not knowing they are just around the corner.

OK - wishing all my fellow travellers good health and wellness ... hurray for us that we are here and trying to look after ourselves.

See you tomorrow!!

Hi guys, thanks for dropping by! ... well its 3.30pm on Day 1. Just going to grab my 3rd cup of black coffee with sweetener, and gonna get into my apple/sprite/cracker bake to stave off the 4 o'clock munchies. Planning dinner for just after 6 so I can go to bed early! Holding out oK at the moment. One day at a time hey? I'm a blasted food addict !! I love the stuff!!

I've got all sorts of pampering booked in for this week (tonight I am giving myself my first ever "permanent" hair dye in a "do at home" pack ... I've only ever used semi colours before) to give me a little boost along. I mean, I might be in the 90's, but that doesn't mean I have to have grey hair, bushy eyebrows and hairy legs does it??!!

Have a great afternoon, especially S-lilstar and lil-doll ....

Just to clarify - that is, in the 90's kilo range, not 90 years old

Oh my goodness I feel hungry and headachy. Its 5.15pm. Will go and drink more water. Am here typing this to distract myself.

Went for a walk with my daughter to the supermarket (usually we drive) to fill in a bit more time. It was fun to just stroll along and have a chat with her and draw dinosaur footprints in the sand (she is 4 years old).

A little while ago (a couple of hours) it has occurred to me that maybe I am/have been a bit depressed. I haven;t noticed as I usually go and eat something before I really look at that feeling. Or drink wine. But now I might have to look at that feeling. Yikes! More walks with my daughter I think should lift those spirits up.

Til later ...

Pampering really sounds like a good idea, Something non food related to treat ourselves with and lift our spirits. I find it exciting when I dye my hair. You will have to let us know how it goes.

Certainly is time for thinking about things Sam,
The first days are hard, hold on, you know how great you are going to feel as each week passes.
Walks are great, made even better by your daughter coming along! Drawing in the sand is fun! I love seeing things through young eyes, they really make you take notice of the little things we all take for granted..

Thanks for the comments guys - really taking it all on board.

Checking in for a little bit of Focus. Hit a hungry patch. 10.20am - started to feel panicky. BUt wait! There is a cracker in my hand bag and a big drink of water. Water water water.

I am going to be a daily weigher, do my graph thing, all that. I love watching the slippery slip slide downwards on Cohens.

Day 2 - down 600g. Wacko!

Goal - down 40 kg before my brother's 40th birthday. We live on the opposite sides of the country so don't catch up often enough - the next time we do, I want his jaw to drop open with surpise and dismay and pride.

To get there, goals are:
Into the 80's
Into the 70's
Into the 60's
65 (I can't believe it would be possible)
62 - order Refeed!
Into the 50's? Really?

So thanks for that Forum goers - just taking a few minutes to re-focus has helped me feel less panicky. That and 500 ml of water anyhow

Oh, another thing I am doing, is taking a photo of each meal. Cos it is yummy, and i think it needs to be fully appreciated, savoured, presented well and celebrated.

See you later, Sam

Hi Missy - thanks, I am really hitting the water hard. I think you are right and it does help.

I had a facial this afternoon at 4.30pm - the danger zone! - which was really lovely. The beautician next to my office had a 20% off special and I couldn't resist. It felt wonderful. I can't remember when I would last have had a facial. Maybe once in the past 4 years.

Had the most AMAZINGLY yummy meal tonight. 1 clove garlic, zucchini spaghetti (you know, zucchini shaved into strips), 1 mushroom, and beef meatballs. It was an absolute party in my mouth. I chewed slowly and savoured it. Going to have to have it again for dinner tomorrow night it was so good.

Roll on day 3! Hope you are all having a great day, and weigh light in the morning

Sam

Hi Sam! Found you diary! I didn't realize this was yours!

I know what you mean about trying to get into the 50's... My goal is 55 for crying out loud!!! And i chose the HIGHER goal!!! Lol... It was soemthing lik 51-55 kgs... I cannot even imagine it, at this point of the plan. I have NEVER been that tiny...

Grea to know you are still DF and distracting yourself. That'swhy I am always lurking on here, sicne I don't want to think about food. I love to cook and bake too, so I am ALWAYS think about it... Browsing food blogs was always what I did...

I am glad you are able to lean on your daughter for support. And your dinner sounds so lovely! I haven't done the zucchini spag yet since I am too lazy to take out the shredder. Made chicken breast meat balls with some pesto for lunch today though. Will let you know how it goes.

OKAY BUDDY! We can DO this!!!!!!! We have such similar goals... 3 kgs difference... One month apart. Oh gosh... We can do this....

Hi - quick post this morning as we try to get out the door to kindy on time!

Yesterday was easy some ways, hard in others. Super busy with work and mum stuff, forgot vitamins, forgot water bottle when I went to a clients, didn't feel hungry for breakfast or lunch, but hit the wall about 3pm, hugely irritable, had a fight with a client (!! never !!), had a great then bad experience with a real estate agent which made me exaggeratedly upset, I can't concentrate on my work very well (!! makes life VERY hard !!). So looking at that, not so good at all day I'd say.

BUT its a new day, I've had my vitamins, yummy b/fast even though I wasn't hungry, will make sure I drink water from the get go today ... and I am off at 9am for the next lot of pampering (waxing, tinting etc etc). Hopefully by lunchtime I will feel and LOOK better too.

And I apologised to the client, and they apologised to me, and we are all good again. Phew!

Have a great day everyone .... today I hope to be a bit more productive! Sam
