Default fruit allowance rules

Hi, I have been searching through the forum using the search engine to discover if I am allowed to eat all my fruit allowance in one go?

I have read many posts but still haven't found the answer. May I have all my fruits in one basket??? Such as - fruit salad of kiwifruit and pawpaw, or 2 serves of stewed apple as a warm snack on a cold night before the kitchen is closed?

Really appreciate a reply... I'm using my old plan from 2007 and so I don't have a consultant anymore.

Hi Teewun, I'm an old-new girl too. Getting back on plan to try and do it right this time.
I can only have one fruit serve at a time, I think I can mix the fruits but have to stick to the recommended weight per serve. I usually have mine in between meals with my crackers to keep me going. I hope that helps. Good luck and I look forward to sharing journey's

Hi TW!

My plan is 2010 and it says it is a 'good idea' to only eat one serve at a time. It doesn't mention any time between serves. Personally, i try and wait the 2.5 hours, but sometimes I don't.

Thanks NewBarb and Missy. It makes sense I suppose, not to fill the stomach with too much in one go. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi TW,

My plan says you can mix the fruits, but only have 1 serve at a time. So if you're going to have apple and kiwi salad, have apple allowance and have kiwi allowance combined in a bowl. you would then have to either use the other half allocated for the second portion, or a whole new fruit (one serve) And to leave hours between fruit servings. Too much at once will probably cause an insulin spike from the natural sugars i would image.

Hope that makes sense to anyone not inside my head
