Default And Refeed begins

Hi all

**Looks around and checks out where the loo is in Refeed Land.

***Waves to ruby and suzie "Hi guys"

Day 1

Start Weight 61.9
Overnight mov/m 0gm
Current Weight 61.9

Changes 1 good fruit

Well today was sure exciting. Tis my first day in Refeed. Nothing to complicated. Just extra protein and veg. Made it easy and just had a bigger steak and veg. Already the meal size looks good. Made me worry about the end where the sizing gets HUGE!!! Shall take a leaf out of Suzie's book and split new foods betweens meals just to fit it all in.

Have been busy planning, planning, planning my diet for every day of refeed. It is not so hard but must be very very accurate. I found a few mistakes and had to readjust, but will check and keep checking every day. I've decided to buy for a few days at a time re extra Protein and keep in the fridge rather than bag it up and freeze it. I think I will find that easier and less complicated. I think the biggest secret of Refeed is the boy scout motto "Be Prepared"!!!

Oh today I got to add a new good fruit. So I chose pineapple. OMG yummoooooo. Was so nice to have another flavour after all this time. I split it and had it for morn and arvo snack. Tomorrow shall be interesting as I already add bread . After reading everyone's reactions towards it I am a bit hesitant. So I chose WB white Low GI no preservatives. Let's see how that goes. I've decided to have an egg on it for breaky. That way if I react I will have all day to get it out of my system before Monday.

That's it for today. Time to go pick up my son.

Take care all

Katie

Congratulations on getting to refeed, Katie. So many start out on diets, so few reach the end, and you've probably been one of the many who didn't make it on previous diets. It really is an incredible achievement to lose what you've lost and get to your ideal weight, and most of the overweight population can't do it, so revel in your achievement.

I made my own bread for refeed (bakers' flour, yeast, water, salt and oil) and had no problems eating the total I was allowed each day. Not everyone has a problem with bread, so you may be one of the lucky ones.

Enjoy your new food tastes.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Default Day 2

Hi guys,

Starting Weight 61.9
Overnite Mo/v +300gm
Current weight 62.2

Changes 1 slice of bread, increase in protein & old veg.

Thanks for dropping by you wonderful cohenites. Just getting continuous support on here really does help one achieve the "almost" impossible. So ty ty ty.

Shanara, You're a dag. Here I'll pass over a "Get out of Jail Free" card so feel free to come on in anytime. It's good for years to come. Yep nanas on the list but not until next week sometime. Cherries first yummmmmmmmyyy.

Well that's Day 2 over and done with. 17 to more to go. Btw I have a 19 day refeed. Which I quite like as it gives me some room to move and introduce new things slowly. Phew.

Had a 300gm rise this morn. As it is following my usual pattern of loss, 3 good days of drops then a rise for a few days, then onto more good drops I'm not panicing at all. I decided on not going into "Red Alert" until I am nearing 800gm (I have never risen that much for a long long time). Famous last words I bet

I got to introduce bread today. Which I had with my breaky. Tomato, mushroom fried up on top and an egg perched on top. Looked quite nice. Kept me much more filled than the usual egg dish I have. No real notice in change with the bread. Didn't have the usual bloating hiccups that some do have. I decided to go easy with what I tried because I do prefer wholegrain and will work my way up to that. Hell I have 19 days to play with Why not. Btw even though it was nice, it didn't really do a lot either way for me. I can take it or leave it. I actually quite like the crackers. If I have a rise tomorrow I will go back to just crackers, and try again in 2 days. The morning will decide that. I kept to my pineapple, as I am trying to only introduce 1 thing at a time. Rockmelon tomorrow yummmmmmmmmmmmm. Loving these new foods. Not sure about the other things. Thought I might cook up some blueberries into some sort of cohen jam with sprite zero and put on toast one day. Hmmm shall see.

I still getting hungry after a few meals. And had a dizzy spell tonite at work. First time today. And the only one I had so that I am grateful for.

Well tomorrow isn't too complicated again, just a bigger rise in protein and old veg. Plus I'll try a new good fruit too. Are ya drooling yet?? hehehe. I'll try not to make ya's UH HUH!!!

Thanks everyone. I will sure be here cheering you all on when ya hit refeed to.

Take care all

Katie

YAY Katie!! Welcome to refeed land, sounds like you are happy and enjoying it. That blueberry jam sounds delish, I might have to try that one.

I'm off down the coast so you and Ruby are on your own for a while girls, don't do anything I wouldn't do!!!

Happy Christmas Katie!

Hi guys

Starting Weight 61.9
Ovn mo/m +200gm (=500gm)
Current Weight 62.5

Changes Extra Protein and Veg, no bread

Thanks for dropping by TZ and Suzie.

Have a nice trip down the coast Suzie. Sounds like a great time to be down there. Hope it's not too full of tourists.

Well today promises to be another hot and busy day, and with a midnite shift tonite, I thought I would log early. So much for getting good sleep in refeed I'm sure that's also messing up my so called drops.

Well today is another easy day. Just having rockmelon and that's it. Tastes devine btw. Decided to drop the bread and stick to CB. See if that helps. But wouldn't be surprised if I have another rise tomorrow seeing as I won't be hitting the sack until 1am or such.

Not much else to report except God it's getting HOT!!! Now I want the cold

Take it easy all you great cohenites out there.

Katie

Hi Katie

Looks like things are 'interesting' for you. Hopefully the gains are due to the heat and water retention only! Exciting stuff to be having different things and to also be having more of them. It sounds as if the refeed slowly introduces more food as well as different foods.
Fingers crossed that the fluid drops off quick!

Hey Katie

I went looking for you in the normal diaries, couldn't find you, and here you are hiding with all the skinny folk.

(Looks around at all the beautiful slim people with huge grins on their faces)

Great work on all the weight loss, I am watching you closely now, you started about where I was and you are where I am heading. You are officially my new role model.

I must add that I have a Pandora bracelet too. Gold (of course) but I have a few "cheat" charms to go with the mega expensive ones, just to plump the bracelet up abit. You know the new gold ones with enamel butterflies............I got 3 of them for $10.00. Looks just the same!!

I will be reading with great interest

Default Day 4

Hi guys

Starting Weight 61.9
Ovn Mo/m -400gm
Current weight 62.0

Changes 2 good fruits

Thanks for dropping by Vee, Snugglebear, and Louise

Vee, it seems to at first. Later on it gets faster
Snugglebear, aww thx. Good luck. You too will be here, inspiring others on their journey.
Louise, AMEN to that. Luckily today was a lot cooler.

I feel relieved. Had a good 400gm drop last nite. Not sure if it was the bread or fluid retention (I skipped bread yesty). But either way it's gone for now. Phew.

Not much changes except extra protein and veg. Split it between 2 meals but it certainly looks a lot bigger meal. Stuck with rockmelon as it's yummy and didn't affect me. Tried the bread again today see how that goes.

Not much change in tomorrow. Just more protein and veg, plus another good fruit. I now have to fit in 4 pieces. So have been opting for the smaller fruit .

My visitors have arrived a day early so I really won't be able to log on much. Shall try to keep with the daily updates and a few diaries. So if I don't get to your diary before Christmas I just want to wish everyone a wonderful 100% cohenite Christmas.
Have a fat busting day.

Katie

Default Day 5

Hi all

Starting Weight 61.9
ovn mo/m +200gm (+300gm)
Current Weight 62.2

Changes 2 good fruit,

Thanks for dropping by Fair Rose and Vee.

Merry christmas to you both. Hope it isn't too hot for you. And santa is kind.

Well things are going ok. Am having more gains. I think I will again tomorrow as I can feel the tightness in my leg. It's soooooooooo HOT!! and not only that but muggy. Ewwww

Not much to report. Just had 2 good fruits and my slice of bread. Warning about bread. Don't toast it, then melt cheese on it in the microwave. Hard as ROCK!!! I ate it, but wasn't too impressed. I thought I would persevere with the bread but it seems to make me retain water. Least I think it's the bread.

Meals feel quite big. I'm complaining about the size and people used to 'normal' meals think I'm quite crackers. I guess I will get used to it.

Not much changed. Protein and Veg stays the same and fruit. So I'm definitely going to skip the bread tomorrow and enjoy my cray yummm.

Well time for bed. Santa won't come while I'm up.

Hope you all have a great christmas.

Katie

Hi Katie well done so far in re-feed land. I didnt have any problems with bread during re-feed but since I graduated to maintenance I have gone back to saladas. Just find that bread doesnt do anything for me. Although when I was in re-feed I would always toast my bread as it didnt taste as doughey ( if there is such a word) if it was fresh.

It ius a great and amazing ride this re-feed and you will make it with not too many bumps along the way.

Merry Xmas

Default Day 6 and Day 7

Hi all

Thanks for dropping by Ceburoo. I kept up to date with your refeed and you seemed to have cruised through it. Hoping maintenance is the same. Your idea of sticking mainly to CB was also mine. Although nice, bread just doesn't have the same appeal.

Day 6

Starting Weight 61.9
Ovn mo/m 0gm
Current Weight 62.2

Changes: No changes

Woke up to a lovely surprise of no weight gain. Skipped bread and stuck to just CBs. Had a lovely day with the family and only struggled when cutting up the christmas pud. But that's ok I froze my piece ready for the end. Never ever remember feeling hungry on Chrissy day, but I did today. Was a strange feeling. Everyone else was complaining of feeling bloated. Was good and had a 100% day. Hope everyone here had a lovely stress free day.

Day 7

Ovn mo/m +100gm
Current weight 62.3

Changes: 2 slices of bread, extra protein

I'm happy with that as I had a late tea and late night and up early again today due to having to space meals again. Have decided to add both slices which I have now tried wholemeal. Much nicer then white. I am really looking forward to tomorrow as I can start to mix proteins and no longer have to bother about the 5 hr rule. That can make life a bit harder but it's worth it to reach here. So far I am very happy with refeed. Not doing anything exciting yet.

That's it for now

Take care all. Happy holidays.

Katie
