Smile NewBarb's Diary

Hi everyone, I'll just start with a bit about myself...
This is my 2nd Cohen's experience ! So as you can guess my 1st time didn't end well. I started on May 12th this year after making an attempt to go it alone... after struggling for a few weeks I decided to get a new plan because it worked so well last time. Well I haven't looked back. I started at 86 kgs and have lost 26kgs so far.
I got my refeed program last week so am all ready to go!!
Something in me wanted to be 58kg before I start it, but after reading a few posts I realised I could still lose a bit of weight on refeed!!
So.. I have decided to start it tomorrow. I'm so excited to have got this far and know this time I have done it!!
I look forward to logging my results and thoughts here.
Thank you all for the very warm welcome, I wish I had found this forum months ago!
Barb.

Some find they need a new Plan, while others find "the old one works fine". Seems it is different for all. Still, you gave it a go on the old one - and, when it didn't work, were smart enough to realise it....

NOW, look at you !! Refeed is waiting for you - how cool....

And, I've spotted your Diary Request, Barb, so you are all settled in that regard. Thanks Do let us know when you decide to start refeed - seems you are "hanging on" a bit - and that's OK too (for many, just KNOWING they can start whenever, is enough to have them relax a little more) - hope it works for you too.

For now, just keep posting here (Post Reply) as needed - once you move to refeed, simply start a new thread in the Refeed Diaries section.

Thank you Chelle I am excited now. The end is in sight... or should I say "beginning"?
Just a quick question, how do you get your ticker to move?
How long have you been on the program? I'm really looking forward to watching your ticker slide off the scale
I just noticed we are both in Perth!

I have decided to start refeed tomorrow, seems I might still lose a bit of weight on refeed.
So I shall start a new thread in refeed diaries in the morning.
Thank you again for such a quick reply.
Barb.

Hi Barb,

I had a quick look - yours needs a bit of work, Barb - usually you can click on the ticker, and it takes you to where you can update it.

Yours needs a bit of work - I'm about to head for bed (it's after 10:40pm over here - and I'm shutting down... so don't want to attempt trying to fix it (it's a bit tricky at this end of things).

But, if YOU want to, go here and step through it line by line :-

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=158845#post158845

In short, your current ticker is just an image - it is missing a lot of stuff that would usually be there (the above link is a very good explanation of how to make it work). If you have probs, I'll have another look tomorrow,

G'night,

Koh

Good Morning Koh, Thanks for looking at my ticker and sending the instructions on how to fix it.
I think I had left the first part of the code out, seems to work now,
Thank you.
My next challenge is working out how to attach photos but we'll save that for another day haha.
P.S. I missed the 59's by a few gms I weighed in at 60kgs today. I'm still going to start refeed. I was awake a lot of the night with hunger pangs.
Thanks again,
Barb

Hi Debs, I hope you had a wonderful successful day and are continuing to shine Thank you for your support and encouragement, it means the world to me.
I have just completed day 2 of my refeed ! I feel stuffed! AND still managed to lose some weight !! This program is amazing. I was reading some maintenance diaries this afternoon and the people there are also still losing weight !! I might reach my goal of 58kgs after all.
Its hard to believe I have been on the program for about 5-6 months.... I think the secret is to look at each day as if its the first. I tell myself I only have to do this for today... its always TODAY hahahaha. Funny the tricks we play on ourselves. Its sort of like having a baby, when we look back we don't remember the pain.
I went to grandparents day at school today, there was tables full of morning tea delights. Everyone had plates full. I wasn't interested at all !!!! I just kept saying to myself.. "Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels".
I'm so proud of myself.. I'm also in awe of all the people on here who have decided to take control of their lives. Its so wonderful to see everyone encouraging each other. I'm so looking forward to watching achieve your goals.
Hugs Barb.

Hi Barb,

We typically don't do that - we decided that "people approaching refeed want to be able to read other diaries about refeed". Thus, we chose to have three separate diaries - one for Plan, one for Refeed, and one for Maintenance.

It seems to help people as they don't have to "Find" where a Plan diary finishes, and the Refeed section starts - same for Maintenance.

So, no Barb - we wouldn't be moving your diary to Refeed. You have started a Diary there, and it will be "all about your refeed" - as such, it will help others coming into refeed.

Awww thanks Debs, I'm feeling pretty amazing too. Do you have a diary ? I'm still finding it a bit hard to find people. Is there a section where we can "save" certain peoples names?
I commented on someones diary entry the other day and I can't find them again lol..
Mmmmm wonder if it was you hahaha. I have entries in three places now so find it hard to keep up with them. I have "new people" "new Diary" and "refeed diary".. its like a rabbit warren in here !!
I hope all is going well for you and you are enjoying you Cohen's journey.
Thank you for following me into the refeed diaries lol.
Thank you again for your very welcome comment

Hi Barb

To keep track of the diaries you want to follow:

When you are in a diary you want to follow go to the top of the page and click on the "Thread Tools", then click on "Subscribe to This Thread" and follow the instructions.

When you log on, go to "User CP" (top right of page) and that will show you which threads you are following that have been updated since you last visited them.
