Default Shift Workers

Just curious really.
How do you manage your eating patterns while on Cohens?

Was just thinking (and posted in my diary) about how I had a big sleep in today so all my meal times were out of whack..and the 9pm timeframe for final eating wouldn't work for shiftworkers.

When I worked for the Police we did different shifts all the time and I can't imagine how hard it would have been to do a programme like this. I'm guessing the times would have to be shifted to accommodate the working and sleeping hours.

I used to do either a 7am - 3pm shift or afternoons were either 1-11 or 3-1 and nights were 10.45 - 7am. There's no way you could get all the food in before 9pm without either waking to eat and then going back to sleep (which would really muck up the rem sleep and hgh) or shifting the eating times to be in the awake hours.

Thoughts?

Hi Katriana,

There are and have been a number of people on here who are shiftworkers and they find their own rhythms. If you use the search engine try typing in Shiftwork and see what you get.

Default Re: Shift Workers

Im a shiftworker, and the nights do throw me off a bit. My shifts are set though, apart from the occasional call in.
I only work 2 nights out of every 9, so it is not that bad.

I don't have a sleep before the first night, and treat that day as normal. I'll have my dinner at about 9pm, and that gets me through the night. I'll take an apple to work for if I get hungry. I also take yoghurt to work to eat a 5am for breakfast, so I can keep to the wait 2hr before you sleep rule.

The second day, I usually wake up at about 2pm or so, have lunch and go to work at about 6pm. Have dinner and breakfast same times as first night.

I guess the big issue is lunch, and the time between meals.
