Default A bit random but, re protein amounts...

We all seem to get 3-4 protein choices for each meal, some are for the same type (ie meat) but you can have two amount options - one with more meat and less vege, the other with less meat and more vege.

I've been tending towards the "more meat" option, initially because I thought it would keep me full, and now because I've weighed and frozen so much meat/chicken/fish etc. (oh and there was also that TERRIFYING thread about hair loss which scared the crappola out of me and made me decide to try to keep up the protein)

Anyway (is anyone still following my ramblings? ...) I was just wondering if going for the "less protein, more vege" option increases the weight loss, over the "more protein, less vege" option? Or doesn't it make a difference.

I could experiment, but thought I'd ask here first.

Hmm, I would be interested to hear everyones thoughts on this too. I have ended up with fairly random protein amounts (from my choices) mainly because I dice up most of my meat and then pile it onto the scales and stop when it hits one of the meal amounts.

I am only in week 5, but for the last two weeks I have been making sure I have two salad meals per day, at least 5 days a week (usually breakfast and lunch). The raw veges seem bigger and take longer to eat, and seem to keep me full for longer.

Well this is what I was trying to work out. If you look at what I wrote on Nicole's diary the other day. I'm a vegetarian and I am eating fish from time to time. I started my program 4 weeks before Nicole and Nicole is pretty much up to me at this point.

Meat - digests very slowly therefore I do believe burns more energy. Could it motivate weight loss, possibly. I am doing research on this and I will let you know once I found stuff. This program really is great for meat eaters and does work fantastically for us veges too.

From a vege point of view, there is prob more protein in spinach then there is a slab of meat, but I can't eat that much spinach on this diet at anyone time, so the meat wins haha.

I hope that makes sense....
