really random but...
this might seem really random and irrelevant but in almost every post i have read, when people are explaining how much weight they have lost/want to lose, they write "loose", as in, "i want to loose 10kg" and its really bugging me, because "loose" spelt like that, means that your pants are "loose", and LOSE is the correct spelling if you're talking about LOSING something, "i didnt want to lose my wallet, but my pants are loose" haha sorry if some people are offended by this random post, but seriously, we're all adults here, just drop one O and you will be making a lot more sense!! xxx |

Well, after finishing the program back in June, and I lost all the weight I found out that my buttocks were 'loose'! Slowly tightening up but if you 'lose' a lot you will find that a lot is 'loose'!

although maybe we should add the disclaimer that its not about the literacy, grammer or any thing else....
its about expression, no matter how its spelled.... |

Well after I lost a lot of weight my pants were really loose and I was scared that if I didnt wear a belt I would lose them! But rather than get all tripped up over my words and my letter o's I just decided to buy new pants to solve the problem!

hey hopeful...
i added that disclaimer as some people in the community dont possess strong literacy skills. poor literacy can often lead people to feel inadequate, insecure or even stupid. you may be surprised at the amount of individuals who struggle with literacy and the range of emotional responses that it triggers. its not so much 'a problem' its more a clause for those who might be discouraged by your comments...even though clearly they were just a joke to you, this is a heterogenous community and as such people respond differently. i was simply trying to avoid ANYONE being discouraged. |

I'm sorry, I just can't help myself.. I'd like to know how ANYONE can tell through type if someone is typing in anger, laughter or whatever emotion.. it's like email & texting..
Oh & by the way, while typing this I'm smiling BIG time on the inside.. facts are facts & unfortunately it doesn't always come with any emotion. So sorry if that offends.. |
