Default Small FryPan Advice

I feel a bit silly asking this, but I don't have my program yet and I'm unsure about the portions that I will be using when I make (most commonly) my omlettes... so I'm hoping that someone with experience could help me

I only have large stainless steel frypans at home and since #1 I won't be cooking anything large and #2 I won't be able to use anything to ensure my cooking doesn't stick to the pan... I need to buy a small non-stick frypan.

I've been thinking of getting this lil baby:

http://www.petersofkensington.com.au...spx?id=1592877

But I'm not sure if it will be too small for a full Cohen's omlette? Should I perhaps get a 20cm frypan for the omlettes instead?

Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if this is a silly question, I'm just trying to get prepared for when my program arrives and would hate to waste the money and find out it's not big enough.

Thanks

Wow! That looks pretty small! I think an egg will be about all it fits. I used a little 20cm Scanpan frypan the entire program (in fact I got another one because the first was so useful), and it was perfect for cooking the meat amounts or an omelette (not that I had that many).

Here are the details:

Hi Lulabelle,
Go with at least a 20cm pan.
I got a small pan from Spotlight that would just fit an egg, about the same size, but it is too small to fit on my gas stove top!

Thank you SO much girls I'll definitely go with the 20cm!

I was looking at that exact pan you linked to Sassy! That's the one I've bought (goodness I love Peter's of Kensington!)

If you go to Aldi now they are selling 20 cm - the best little fry pans - heavy base non stick for -9.95 - I got two one for my food and one for my wife and they are as good - if not better than your 60 dollar pans. Good old Aldi !!!

Wow Andy that's fantastic! My order has already gone through But I'm sure that tip will be helpful for many!

I do love Aldi too... their non-stick baking trays are fantastic. I don't get to visit Aldi very often as there's not one near me but some of their stuff is great when it's time to stock up!

Thanks again

Scanpan is by far the best brand you will get so don't worry about purchasing it already - you will love it and have it for a lifetime!

Lulabelle, I've been making fluffy omelettes, where the pan size doesn't matter too much. I beat the egg white until very stiff, add the egg yolk and beat some more, then pour into the pan. It's so stiff it doesn't spread right across the pan. I spread it out to the size I want, add the topping, and fold over to serve when it is brown underneath.

You can use oil spray to spray a pan, but if you have a non-stick pan that can damage the surface.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

*laughs* Your comment made me laugh out loud at work Andy! Geez as if my co-workers don't think I'm weird enough already

Thanks for the vote of confidence Kate I've always wanted a Scanpan, at least getting a little one made it a lot cheaper than the other pieces I've always wanted!

Thank you for the tip AJ. Your omelette sounds wonderful... I will definitely be trying that technique *YUM*
