Default Small painful bumps on hands...?

Just wondering if anyone else has had little red bumps popping up on their hands? They are painful when they first pop up - it hurts to pick up objects for a couple of days and then they stop hurting but the bumps remain there for a couple of weeks. They started about 2 weeks after I started Cohen's and have been around for the entire 11 weeks I have been on plan.

I thought it might be from the hair skin and nails supplements that I was taking so I stopped them but it hasn't made a difference - I also changed my vitamins and that didnt stop them either.

It's only a minor nuisance so not worth a doc visit but thought others might have experienced this.

Hi Jenna

I have not had bumps on my hands but on my face. Have some red blotches and small bumps on my face that I have not had before. I used to have a perfect skin. Bio Oil seems to help but don't know if it will help for your hands. Worth a try!!

Good luck and hope those bumps go away soon.

Hi Jenna,

Sounds odd...I have never heard of anyone having this problem. Could possibly be unrelated...however I do think it is worth a trip to the doctor just to check it out.

Good luck,

Cindy

Thanks Roxy & Skinny, I have a feeling that it may have to do with an allergy to the supplements, as in the past I have gotten hives from certain supplements but not these bumps on my hands. I will go to the doc and see what's going on - was just curious if anyone else had experienced this whilst on the program.

Hanna,

There are some ideas in here - you could try the bio oil as suggested,or a heavy moisturiser at night, I also use Nutri rich oil on my face every night as I go to bed to keep my skin hydrated. In the past I have even used cheap sorbelene to wash instead of soap for a while when my allergies were really bad - kept my skin nice and supple, stopped the raw dry feeling from getting to me.

A lot of us actually take blackmores hair skin and nails (1 a day) and I think that has helped my skin immensely.
