Eskimokiss's Refeed diary!
I sat down tonight to write up a plan of attack and I am actually getting quite excited about it all.....can't wait to get to have some of the 'good fruit' and then eventually the 'bad fruit'! Now I know what everyone was talking about when it just seems like it is SO much food and I have only got up to planning for day 10 so far I will be checking out this section with interest. Cheers, EK

Ok...so today was day 3 on my refeed. I haven't had a chance to get on here because I have found that I have had to be SUPER SUPER organised this week and make sure I am planning out all meals to get all the quantities etc right!! Plus we were also out on Monday night and Tuesday so I pre-prepared everything to take along!!!
My refeed plan is 19 days long and so far I must admit I am only sort of up to planning for about day 10...I flicked over to the last page yesterday and saw on day 16 you even get to have a plain biscuit!! So today was the big "BREAD" day....dum dum...I will have to see what the scales say in the morning and if it had any ill effects!!! I just had a piece of plain rye bread with my breakfast of delicious yogurt and blueberries (mmmmm...really enjoying having some blueberries two days in a row! The bread was nice, but I do think that I can live without it or in small amounts. I am thinking I might have to try white and wholemeal also just to give it to my body to get used to it. Because we were staying over night at the in laws on Monday night (I sneakily took my bathroom scales in my bag so I could weigh according to plan on Tuesday morning) but I think maybe the were out....because Day 1 - 54.8kg Day 2 - 53.8 (which I was thinking can't be right?) Day 3 - 54.4kg So I will see what happens in the morning. I went for a big walk on Tuesday and found that today my calf muscles were really sore after not being used to so much exercising for awhile...I was thinking maybe I should take 2 magnesium/calcium tablets a day? It already seems like a lot more food, but I think I was definately ready because now I am feeling like I have a bit more energy and am not so tired! Thanks for stopping in Faithy, Almost Eden, jeanie77, jenniwren, butterfly_girl and sum! It is great to have so much support and help on here!

Hi Eskimokiss. Congratulations on making it to refeed. It's been a bumpy ride for me - I hope it's a lot smoother for you. I have two more days to go, then it's out into the big wide world for me!
For the first few days I was working out what I was going to have on a day to day basis. It was too hard, so I decided last weekend to plan out the last 10 days, with all the protein and vegetable increases and decreases, and buy, bag, label (with the day and meal and quantity of old and new vegetables to add) and freeze each protein protion. It's worked out really well. I don't have to think about what I'm going to do each day. I hope you can manage some good losses on refeed. I've been yo-yoing up and down a bit, but it's stablising now.

Hooray for you...
The big drop over night is definately possible...but then so is the big increase. It is a bit of a yoyo effect on the first couple of days, but then it starts to even out. Just keep going the way you are and check your weight each morning. Try to stay with the rules of the origional plan and add you new stuff as specified and you should be right. You might even find that you lose another 1-2kgs on refeed. I have lost another 800gms in 9days on refeed. Quite amazing concidering the huge amounts of food I have to stuff into myself. Anywho...your doing a great job. Keep it up and try to stay focussed...meanwhile it's day 9 now for me and I only just finnished planning the meals for my 15day refeed program yesterday evening...so don't feel bad. It's bloody complicated. Big love and luck...
Eden

I just typed a big long entry and then some how lost it boohoo.
Anyways I have made it up to Day 9 today which is a big one involving the mixing proteins and 1 bad fruit and 3 slices of bread!!! Will be interesting to check the weight in the morning!! So far the weight hasn't been too bad. day 1 - 54.8kg day 2 - 53.8kg day 3 - 54.4kg day 4 - 54.4kg day 5 - 54.2kg day 6 - 54.4kg day 7 - 54.0kg day 8 - 54.2kg day 9 - 54.2kg It feels like I am eating a fair bit of food now, sometimes I want it, other times I am feeling so full and over it. Bread is still a bit of undecided for me, but I do recognise that it doesn't really make you feel really good. I feel a bit sick and often gaseous etc. Boo hiss for bread....definately a sometimes food I think for me! On the weekend we went to our daughter's friends 3rd birthday party which was nice. The kids dressed up and they had little ponies for them to ride on! I had a bit of a giggle, the hostess's sister came up to me and was like "OMG, I thought you were Katie Holmes when I first got here and I thought, trust my sister to get Katie to come to her daughter's 3rd birthday party!!!" Now I don't think I really look like Katie (hair a bit similar, nowhere near as skinny) but I am going to take that as a huge compliment!!! Also had a really lovely day shopping on Saturday and found a lovely dress to wear to my MIL birthday party in Sept. It was a really new experience being able to try on whatever I wanted and I made myself go into stores that I had been previously been too scared to go into!I guess though it will still take some getting used to!!! Just wondering with the 5 hours protein mixing rule no longer there.....what is everyone doing with the meals? Are you still tending to wait the 5 hours between the main meals or doesn't it really matter now? Or is it better to stick with it now we are in the habit? Decided that I am finally brave enough to post a now photo (not sure about before pictures yet!! lol!)

You're doing so brilliantly EK - woo hoo! I've been a little all over the place in terms of weight on refeed - big downs, big up's... I'm trying very hard to stay sane But you look like you're cruising!
What a great pic! (I love the coat - I want it!!) But to get the full impact, we need to see the before pic's too You really do look great. What clothes size were you before vs. now? Happy day 9!

Wow Eskimokiss. You look fantastic. I read in BFG's refeed diary that you are a size 8 (even 6), which is truly amazing!
Thanks for your post in my refeed diary. Maintenance has been... well... interesting. I'm looking forward to my trip, because I find being at home a bit tricky. I think I'll do a bit better when I have distractions, and can't just rock up to the fridge or the pantry whenever I like. I've thrown out any bread, potato, pumpkin and biscuits that I had leftover from refeed. I don't want those things in my life anymore... they don't make me feel good... in fact they make me feel bloated and lethargic. Tomorrow I'm taking the Lindt chocolate that's been sitting in my pantry to work. I'm sure the guys will make pretty quick work of it. And... if I can post pictures of me 90+kg heavier than I am now, I'm sure you can summon up the courage to post some before pictures too! Please?!?! Good luck for the rest of refeed. You're doing great (and looking AMAZING).

WOW!!! You look fabulous honey bee...
I was going to log off but thought I would have a quick peak at some of my refeed buddies diaries. WOW!
Congrats on the shopping experience...I haven't gone into any of the skinny boy shops yet...I am looking forward to doing it some day though. They are mostly rediculously expensive...so I probably wont buy anything...but it will be worth it to see if the things fit. Who knows I might spoil myself. Who am I kidding...I probably will spoil myself. You are doing such a great job with refeed. Keep up the sensational work. You really do look amazing. Well done Eden

Day 16 - 53.6kg
Things have been a bit up and down this week for me at home, but hanging in there and following refeed 110%!!! I have been sick with cold/throat thing, my daughter has also been sick resulting in a 2am trip to the hospital on Sunday night (but she is ok, just gave us a bit of a scare with her breathing). She is doing ok, but still not real well plus my hubby hasn't been well this week with heart stuff, so I am trying to hang onto this refeed with both hands and make it to the end!!! Just three days to go! My weight has been steady the last few days which kind of seems amazing with the volume of food you get to eat. I am excited and a little nervous about once I finish....I think going by what everyone else has been experiencing I am just going to have to avoid carbs and sugar like the plague!! loL! Tomorrow I get to have a glass of alcohol....now I am not a big drinker to begin with...I think i will have a glass and be a happy drunk or seriously just fall asleep!!!
