Question starting again.

I was on here a few yrs ago n succesfully lost 45kg in 6 months. then i fell pregnant with my 5th n last child.. happy as this was. the weight i have regained isnt. i,m 15/20kg over my goal weight n was wondering if it was possible to do it over again?? I still have my program n i know that my hormones would be a bit out now but there is no longer anyone in our small town that does the blood tests the local clinic wont accept it.. so i guess what i,m asking is ------- can i still follow the old prgram that i so loved and has anyone else done so/?????

I'm using my 5yo programme and its working. Maybe not as good as the first time but that might be due to other factors.

I would give it a shot and see how you go. You've got nothing really to lose. If you do follow the programme to a "T" and weight is very slow to shift then consider a new programme, but try your old one fist.

Hi Shaz,

just thought I'd chime in here too. I had my 6th child earlier this year and gained umm......about more than 35kg with him and I lost 41kg first time round.

I opted for a new program instead. I felt that my body chemistry would be completely different after a baby. I didn't try the old one, just forged ahead with a clean slate.

I know what it's like doing all this as a new mum, and with a lot of other kids. It sure does test your iron will........and sweetie an iron will is what we must have!!!!!

Hi Shaz,

Welcome back !! Re using your old program, the word seems to be (from the clinics) to try it out for two weeks or so.

If it leaves you feeling hungry, unsettled, etc then maybe you will need a new one. But if you find you feel like last time, and you are shedding the Kgs OK, then the old one may well be fine for you.

Re your ticker, I'm not sure just what you were expecting to see, but I can say that you only have about half of it. Thus, you can't click on it to go to Update it.

The BEST way to create a ticker is via this post :-

Well good morningall.
I got up this morning o so positive to try my old program out
yay my bub woke early very sick.. never mind i can still do this..
with my attention on him i wont have time to feel hungry..
I had my morning coffee without milk for the first time since i went off program. hmmm why did i evr go back to milk? it actually tasted ok... then went on to my trusty smoothy that i have had all the way from the start of my program in 2007 till now as i love the conveniance of making it up n sipping on it as i,m getting the kids ready for school. so thats my morning n i feel great
thanks collie for chatting with me,its great to know some other busy mums on here...I will stay on old program n see how i go for a couple of weeks. Collie did your new program differ to much after your child??? I have pcos so i,m always all over the place. lol...

Hi shaz,

Yep it's different, all the food of course is the same, as is the case with all our programs, but the quantities are quite different. If you're not a big believer in the specificity of the quantities in this diet then you probably would argue that point, but all my combinations of protein/veg are substantially different to first time round. I've just received my refeed number 2 as well, and it's also very different from number 1.

Just don't discount the possibility of needing a new one if you're struggling on the old one after a couple of weeks. You'll know if you keep deviating, or if you can't stick to it, or, of you are wanting to eat your arm off.

Thanks collie i will keep an eye on that. I do want this to work so much n the last program i had to do over the phone because the closest clinic to me is 4.5 hrs away and it cost me over $800 for my program back then. I do hope it has come down a bit from then... I will keep a close eye on my hunger n stuff and i will find my personal diary that will reflect on how i was going with it back then.. Thanks so much for your advice and i will take it on board.. xx

I am on Arnold programme, just started day three and so far I feel fine, no hunger and no craving, actually feeling very in control which is great, did weigh myself this morning after days and there was a nice drop on the scales as well, so as far as I can see something is working already . Best of luck.

Oh my - I thought you might be doing your brother's programme - but then I realised your post was probably the victim of an iphone auto-correction gone wrong....

I think you might be trying to say
I am on an old programme,
