Default Time line for fruit & crackers?

Just wondering how people spead their quota of crispbeads and fruit over the day? Do you eat them with your meals or in between? If in between how long after your main meal do you eat them?

I eat my crackers in between. It could be 2-3 hours after each meal. It all depends on whether I feel hungry or weak.

As for fruit, I eat them with my meals (breakfast and dinner). I eat it with breakfast because the meal size is the smallest for the day. As for dinner, the fruit is like a dessert for me and dinner is the only time I can sit down and enjoy my food leisurely.

Hi Phoenix

Seems like this is really troubling you. My suggestion is to really listen to your body and see what works for you.

Some days I needed to change my routine as my body seemed to be different that day and if I was hungry I would be through the snacks before dinner and would use my diet soda to satisfy the hungry feelings after dinner.

For me I had a hungry period at around 4 or 5 in the afternoon so I usually kept a piece of fruit and 2 crackers for then. I often had sort of an apple soup - an apple cut very finely from an apple cut in half. in water and cinnamon and heated so apple was hot but still crunchy. My other fruit and crackers were usually for morning and a snack after dinner but this meant using my fruit in halves as I didn't have enough to have a full one for each.

See what your body wants - not your head

Hi and welcome 2 cohens and the forum

I have 5 crackers and 2 pieces of fruit per day, and how i have them is as follows;

Meal 1 + 1 cracker
meal 2 + 2 crackers
fruit 1
meal 3 + 2 crackers
fruit 2

As i get more hungry at dinner time i have most of my fruit and crackers between lunch and bed time, as i have never really been a morning breakfast person i have less in the morning. though if im hungry still after my fruit i might eat my crackers early You just have to experiment and see what works for u

Most of the time I have 1 cracker with breakfast or between breakfast and lunch, and my other 2 crackers and a fruit with lunch and breakfast. I would sometimes have a piece of fruit later afternoon instead of with dinner. As said before listen to your body. Some days I'm fine and other days I need that little bit extra between meals. Also remember women have menstrual cycles and I was extrememly hungry when I was pre-menstrual this month, but it subsided after I had my period.

HI

This is my time line. I eat my brekkie and try to finish it by 7.30am at the latest. This is because I am usually busy either with work or housework or general errands.

Then I don't eat until lunch time. I try to eat lunch between 1-2.30pm and have 2 crackers with it.

I find that the afternoon period is the worst for me. I am always hungry and for me that is a danger time. The way i combat that is to eat my lunch as late as possible and then eat my fruit between 4 and 5 (and an extra cracker if I havent' used it in a breakfast muffin.

between 5.30-7.30pm it's zoo time in our house, getting kiddies bathed and fed and into bed so I'm rushed off my feet here. and then I eat my tea when the kids are in bed and have my last piece of fruit for dessert.

Hello hello

I have been on Cohen's for many months now and I find that I get a little peckish between breakfast and lunch so this is how I plan my day.

Breakfast: Meal 1 and 1 cracker
Snack: about 12 noon fruit and a Diet Coke (always fills me up)
Lunch: Meal 2 or 3 and 2 crackers
Dinner: Meal 3 or 2 and 2 crackers
After dinner treat second fruit and I normally eat my crackers from dinner with my fruit unless I am having a soup where by I put my crackers into the soup

I find that I am never hungry in the afternoon and that I am fine going more than 5hrs between lunch and dinner. It's really mid morning when I have eaten yoghurt for breakfast that I feel like some fruit but often if I can manage I will save my fruit to go with lunch. I dont like to eat my first postion of fruit until mid morning or lunch as I then dont have anything to fall back on if I did get hungry later on.

I think as the others have said listen to your body as it will tell you when it needs to be fed and each day is different. What I REALLY love about Cohen's is that I rarely feel hungry even at meal times which makes it so easy to sticck with the plan!

All the best
xx nicole

I have 1 cracker either with breakfast or between breakfast and lunch, then 2 with lunch and 2 with dinner. I also eat my fruit jsut after lunch and dinner, but occassionally (like yesterday) was very hungry and weak late afternoon, so I had my crackers then and only the fruit after dinner. It's not always the same.
