A weight loss course: 21 spiritual lessons for surrendering your weight forever
my weightloss journey is as much about my mind heart and soul as it is about my body. I've done a million diets and even had lapband surgery and still am 40kgs overweight. A girlfriend told me about the above book. ITS NOT A FOOD DIET. it works on everything else that keeps us fat other than food. So I bought the book yesterday, and am going to do the lessons while I am doing my Program to hopefully fix both body mind and soul at the same time Has anyone else read the book? I'd be very intersted to hear what you think. Good bad and ugly

Re: A weight loss course: 21 spiritual lessons for surrendering your weight forever
Hey, I read this book and kinda gave up halfway. It's good for the religious, I guess. But I got the feeling she was suggesting that overeating is a form of idolatry and when we go back to worshipping god, we lose weight. I didn't know how to feel about that,
I have a free copy at home, if anyone wants it, let me know. |

Re: A weight loss course: 21 spiritual lessons for surrendering your weight forever
@DI... ahhh see I don't beleive in god.... at all, nor do i beleive in structured religion, but I do believe in a higher power. I think God refers to whatever you need it to refer to. Not God in the stero typical sense of the word... after all the God that most believe in would persicute us wiccans ... Thanks for sharing your view on the book, I do hope the book helps me in some way, even the tiniest and it would be worthwile. I do know alot of my emotional weight is due to life things, etc, so fingers and toes it does help!.
Mind you I'm still on lesson one @GLT.. I hope it works, i really do! i figure it can't hurt!

That's fair enough, it really is up to your viewpoint. It just wasn't my cup of tea. If you want other weight loss books, check out these two. I find them both amazing.

Re: A weight loss course: 21 spiritual lessons for surrendering your weight forever
Well, I was walking through Big W yesterday and saw the 21 Spiritual lessons book, for only $14, and thought, why not? So I bought it. Haven't started reading it yet as I have just started on another book, but will start reading it soon. You never know, I might learn something!

Re: A weight loss course: 21 spiritual lessons for surrendering your weight forever
I love this book Mich....weightloss is all about the mind, body and spirit approach.
I ahve done all the lessons up to the one where we have to find another person to enter into agreement with about declaring our new lives. I seem to have put the book down there. I still wake up every morning and say the prayer, have the alter and my own special plate etc. I think there is much to learn - we never can learn enough about ourselves
