Default Ginger and garlic

I know the programme guidelines lists powdered ginger and powered/granulated garlic as allowed and states that jar garlic and ginger are no no's...but what about fresh ginger and garlic? Are they considered fresh herbs and to be weighed as such, or are they not allowed...

I used fresh garlic all the time last time, but it's just occurred to me whilst reading my programme again that that might have been a deviation...anyone?

Hi Busybee,

Yes, you can have fresh ginger and garlic (I used them and lots of them throughout my journey) but they do have to be weighed as part of your vege allowance (they are considered herbs, I believe).

Cheers

Butterfly

Oh good...yes I do weigh them. Prefer fresh garlic to the granulated stuff...that's pretty ordinary.
Thanks Butterfly.

BB, I had the exact same moment of doubt! And yes totally agree with butterfly, Clinic confirmed they were ok but had to be weighed.

My mistake was using dried granulated garlic and not weighing at all. Accidental deviation. One I discovered at the same time as I found out my Keen's curry had flour in it therefore was not part of program.

And keens also has the dreaded fenugreek.........

M do you mean the dried garlic flakes?? Or powder, because I use the powder but I thought that was meant to be part of the one tsp a day of all dried things??? I use onion flakes the same way.......

Hope I'm not doing things wrong!!!
