Question HELP missed lots of food and don't feel like eating???

Help I know I've done the wrong thing but today I only had breakfast, an apple and my tea.
I've just eaten 2 crackers but have missed lunch, my other fruit and 3 crackers.

It was just a crazy day. I was cooking food for a family member due home from hospital today and the phone kept ringing. I was pushing the clock as it was and totally forgot to eat.

I wasn't at all hungry but made myself eat the apple and drink some water. There was just no way I wanted to cheat and eat the food I was cooking so I missed out.

No excuse I know but will this affect anything, my blood, my weght los ect.
Does anyone know.

Why aren't I hungry now. It's been like this for 3 days and I could go all day with nothing. Is this NORMAL???

Advice please.

I don't really know, Kristen, but first of all stop stressing about it. I hope you have had some dinner. I don't think it will significantly affect your blood test, unless you are due for a test very soon, and hopefully won't make a big difference to your weight loss. It's a deviation. Make it worthwhile by learning a lesson from it.

I find that if I am really busy I don't get hungry. I'm sure I would though if I was busy cooking.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Hi Kristen,

I've also missed meals completely by accident due to life pressures and days not happening the way I'd planned. You must remember that eating your crackers and fruit are optional - eating your protein meals isn't. So if you find yourself really late for lunch / breakfast again, I'd suggest you eat it as soon as you remember, even if it pushes your next meal back. You can't burn fat without protein, your body needs it! In terms of the affects of skipping a meal - it may show up on your blood tests as a deviation (depending on when you're having them done), and I've found that when I skipped a meal my weightloss slowed a bit for a couple of days. But hey - it's done now, so don't beat yourself up about it... I also generally haven't got hungry after not eating, but then again, it was always on a busy day, so maybe I was running on pure adrenalin
I've actually set a "LUNCH ALARM" on my mobile phone to remind me to eat, I've also booked time out in my diary at work. Otherwise other people's pressures become yours. Remember, it's okay to make yourself a priority for a while

BFG

I'm just not hungry in general though. I have to force myself to eat the meals.
Are others like this.
Also does anyone know if balsamic dressing is the same as balsamic vinegar.

Short answer, nope not the same,

Look at the ingredients. The dressing usually has sugar and oil in it.

balsamic vinegar should only have vinegar from modena in it.

A few others are, Kristen, I have seen it in diaries, don't remember where.

Check the ingredients on the bottle. I think it's probably not the same, but see if the ingredients (if more than vinegar) are all things that are Cohen approved.

Exclamation Skipping meals will slow your weight loss !!

You must not skip meals - the plan is the plan - if you miss a meal you will not loose weight - the body will try and store and then hold your fat instead of processing and using it to fuel your body - why muck with the product - the plan you bought - its a good plan and you will not get the benefit of or the value of your hard earned and well spent dollars if you misuse it !!!!

read your plan - the food is your medicine to weight loss - you are using the input of food to get rid of your weight !!!!! ...so never ever skip a meal - regardless of what you are doing ....... of course you wont get hungry ...its the brain changing your body into starvation mode which is very very dangerous for your health ...

Biochemistry of starvation

The glycogen storage is used up and the level of insulin in the circulation is low and the level of glucagon is very high. The main means of energy production is lipolysis. The TCA cycle helps the gluconeogenesis convert glycerol and fatty acids the acetyl CoA produces the energy used. Two systems of energy enter the gluconeogenesis, proteolysis provides alanine and Lactate produced from pyruvate. Too much Acetyl CoA produces ketone bodies, which can be detected in an urine exam. The brain starts to use ketone bodies as a source of energy.

Google the word "starvation deits"
and read this link

http://weight-loss.featherish.com/starvation-diet.html

It can have serious complications and serious health implications and you are in breach of your contract with your plan... so play the game and loose the weight and use the plan as you should and would with any other product - if you mistreat it it you void your warranty - so be smart and stick %100 % to your plan for great success !!!!!!

you can and will and want to succeed and look good !!!!!

kristen,

I was like that the entire program from the 1st day to today, 7 days after refeed and into maintenance. I've never be hungry at any point in the program.

However!

My whole weight problem was different that the average person on this particular diet. Most here have had long histories of obesity most of their lives stemming from childhood or early adulthood. I did not. I was extremely fit till almost 50. A change of livehood, and metabolic rates due to the changes of employment caused a system which eventually led to me only eating once a day and that was very late at night (9pm or later usually) and nibbling the rest of the night. Great for putting on weight though.

This diet has had me eating and drinking double and triple what I used to consume during a 24 hours period, so I've always felt like a stuffed turkey on this diet which makes it even more amazing!

Oh. One other thing. I remained 100% deviation free throughout the entire process from day one through refeed. It is essential that you get your head around that concept as if you make it through the first one without too much of a penalty the it will make the next one easier. Next thing you know, you are completely derailed from the program.

Listen to Andy.

Unhappy

Ohh I feel so bad now if that is called a deviation.
I really didn't mean to skip the meal it's just been a stressful week and I plain forgot. A family member has had surgery on the brain for an anurism.
I back on track today and in now way wanted to deviate.

I actually thought a deviation would be I grabbed some other quick and easy food while on the run.

Thanks for all the comments and I plan to stay deviation free.
I must say I feel good in myself and it's only been 2 weeks.

How many months did it take most of you to drop your weight or how long have you been on the program for now?
