Unhappy Sydney clinic closing?

Folks,

I received an email from my consultant here in Sydney this week to deliver the sad news that the clinic will be closing by end February. Honestly, panic crept in! Who wouldn't? just started the program 1 week ago! Though it was mentioned that Sydney clients may be referred to the Perth clinic until a new consultant is found, fear is still there - Who will take care of me, who will provide support in the duration of my journey? Of course, the question "But i've paid for the program?!!?!?!?" crossed my mind....but I am pretty sure (fingers crossed) that will not be an issue.

Anyways, anyone out there in the same boat as me?

Thanks, peeps!

Hi Dendan,

I had the same thing happen with me when I started my program when the Newcastle clinic closed. I was referred to Perth and the consultant there was been absolutely fantastic. I have had phone and email support the whole way through my long journey and lots of great advice.

It will be ok. Use this forum and weigh yourself at home and tell you clinic your results. You can do this, you really can. Making the decision to do it and sign up in the hardest step. The program you have if you follow it 100% will work for you. It did for me. 78 kilos down and all via phone and email support.

All the best

Butterfly xx

Hi D.

Well, Im not Aus but my thoughts are this. Lets look at this another way because I'd hate to see you lose any faith or motivation over that news.

So, it is Dr Cohen and his experience, knowledge and skill that is the Programmes strength. And you chose the Program for the info you have now started on which is your Prescription (your food list and weights). Now it is up to you to carry on trust how effectively this works as you follow it. Then once you achieve your Dr C goal, it is Part 2 of the Programme ie, Refeed. Then Maintenance is Part 3. You have invested in all 3 and they are from Dr Cohen.

What I mean D is you do all of this. Yes when a Clinic is in your city you see them periodically, but it is the Programme Part 1,2,3 and the info you are given that you achieve with.

Also in this Forum I see many people must do this across distances. And the support can be as much or as little as you ask for.

Good for you D. I'm sure you will succeed whether your point of contact is local or by email/ph etc.

Thank you both! You are right indeed. Bottom line is I still have the motivation to go through and see the end of this journey. I believe the support that I get in this forum is much stronger vs a "physical" clinic.

The determination to reach my goal will never wane with a support system like this. So long as they give me my refeed program when i reach that point, I will be a happy, sexy woman!

Cheers!!!!

They will definitely do that Dendan - I have not had any issues getting my program, support or refeed through the WA clinic - it has actually been above and beyond what I was expecting with my consultant always being willing and able to answer questions and just check in on me when I needed it. You never know, it may have a silver lining?

Hey there,

I did the whole thing over the phone because I couldn't be bothered driving all the way to the closest clinic. You'll be fine!
