Default Another HGH Question...

It seems all the literature tells us that HGH works while we are sleeping, so my question is....given that i am often up in the night for a <ahem> a toilet break (probably due to all the water i consume in a day!), am i interferring with my HGH working to it's full potential? Do my midnight wanderings upset the process in anyway? Would i be losing more weight if i slept through the night uninterrupted?

Curious minds need to know!

Thanks
Krabi

Default Freaky...

That is so weird that you wrote this post, because last night I wondered the exact same thing after I had been woken up for the 3rd time by my kids.

I always get woken up at least twice each night so I was wondering if that would be upsetting the good ole HGH???

When I was doing sureslim I was told that the HGH kicked in when you didnt eat for 5 hours - not sure if that is true or not, but interested to hear!

I was told that when I was on SureSlim too - who knows what to believe! I feel that Cohens has a bit more credibility than SureSlim so I'll believe them....

No idea what SS preaches but it doesn't sound right to me.

However, if anybody checks my charts in my signature you will find that with almost 100% consistency, my biggest loses during the week are always on Sunday mornings. Because I normally function with only 4.5 to 5 hours of sleep for 6 days a week, I always have a lie-in for an extra two hours on Sunday Morning before I have my Staple for the morning meal. (I know - Baaaaadd! pun)

Anyway, it would seem that the longer sleep time results in the HGH working better so I am inclined to think along those lines. I didn't really notice any difference whether or not I was up 2x or 5x during the night as I'm usually right back asleep within minutes anyway. In the early part of the program I was up numerous times during night making a pit stop. My biggest problem was waking up at 3am and jumping in the shower to get ready to go to work with my wife yelling at me to turn off the light and go back to bed. I generally don look at a clock when I wake up.

I read somewhere that HGH is most effective about two hours after going to sleep. I figured with several toilet visits a night I was having several 'two hours after getting to sleep' in a night.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

In that case AJ, I should drink more water right before bed!

Hmm, it does seem like a strange coincidence SMS that your greatest losses were after your best sleep. I think i might start trying to drink less later in the day so i can sleep through the night and see what happens! Very interesting indeed....

sometimes I get up early, weigh myself , then go back to bed for an hour or 2 and would be 100gms lightened after the sleep in. I suspect the sleep does not have to be at night. When I was doing night duty this would also happen after sleeping during the day.

Louise, I think the highest HGH time is actually on a circadian rhythm timing, and actually happens once a day, about two hours after you normally go to sleep.

Krabi, and Louise, when you are stressed your body releases adrenalin and other hormones that cause it to retain fat. When you relax the fat saving hormones disappear. SMS works hard during the week, and the weekends are the only time he has to relax, and sleep more than six hours in the night. He and I both noticed that we lost weight at the weekends. I don't work anywhere near as hard as SMS, and sleep the same hours every night, but I seldom lose during the week when I am busier, and most of my losses occur Friday to Sunday.

To speed up your weight losses, reduce all the stress you find in your lives, work, relationships, whatever, and do get plenty of sleep, because that's when your fat burning hormones work best.

Great advice, thanks Annabelle Joy. It will be somewhat difficult to reduce the stress at work at the moment but will do my best!

Thats very interesting AJ, I also find my biggest losses are on the weekend. I tend to go to bed earlier during the week so more sleep then, but I am certainly far more relaxed over the weekend.
Strange how our bodies work when we take time to analyse.
