Default Vitamins

Hi Guys,
I know that this question has probably been asked on here before but with a lack of time i dont have the chance to brouse. What vitamins can we use ????. I started using the vitamins that you purchase from the cohens clinic, but i just cant afford to be paying the $80plus a month for the vitamins. I asked my cohens clinic rep and she said that you cant use any off the shelf that none of these are any good, and dont work like the ones that cohens recommend.

Hi

I found the following posted by Soon2Bhotkittie (?)

The vitamins i take are :

BLACKMORES -Sustained release Multi-vitamins and minerals

BLACKMORES FOR WOMEN -Total calcium

NATURES OWN - Zinc + B6 Magnesium

these were all recommended by my consultant

Hope this helps.

This forum is pretty easy to search so if you just type in vitamins and click search you will find a number of people who have had the same questions and answers. Also, there are many more suggestions on the vitamins so it's worth doing the search before you buy.

Default Vitamins

Hi everyone,

I know there is a list of recommended vitamins but I was wondering are we restricted to these only? The reason I ask is I take a calcium and ascorbic acid tablet every night which always helps me sleep better as calcium is a natural muscle relaxant.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Pooky.

Is the ascorbic acid for the vitamin C? I think the multivitamins would have vitamin C in them so you might be able to skip that. But I don't see anything wrong in continuing with the calcium tablet even if you have it in the multivitamins. I remember my consultant mentioning the calcium tablets.

Always good for queries like this to send a quick email to your clinic with brand name of product. They can very quickly check and then you have the correct info. There are so many variables and people on here are not really informed enough to know all the details.

Better to go to the source.

The main thing is to look on the ingredients list.. no sugar, flour (no oses of any kind (as in fructose) or thickeners etc).. & make sure the B6 isn't too high, if it is it 'can' make you feel hungry.

I've found Blackmores "normal" multi-vit in Singapore, but not the sustained release - is that one OK to take?

Default Vitamins

There has been some debate recently about which vitamins are and are not ok, with different clinics giving different information.

My clinic says Centrum is definitely not ok. Another says it is fine.

Can anyone clarify?

We've noticed some discrepancies between clinics. It would probably be best to follow what YOUR clinic advises.

Belinda, your tablets are probably not in an air tight container and they go that funny way from absorbing moisture out of the air. That is one of the reasons the pill bottles have those little things in them, to absorb moisture.

Question Vitamins allowed under the program

Which vitamins are allowed under the program. Are probiotics or Fish oil allowed?

Is there a specific Multivitamin that I should be taking?
