Default Deviation while on refeed - help please!

Hi guys I am on day 12 of 17 of my refeed program and I am rather ashamed to admit that for the last couple of days I have deviated a little!
I know feel free to say what you think because I'm already thinking it!
I am very annoyed at myself as I can honestly say I stuck to my program 100% and now can't believe what I have done.
Sweets are what I have been craving and it started with some baking and a little lick of the spoon here and there and a few biscuits later and a little chocolate here I am feeling terrible and quite frankly bloated and wondering what the hell have I done!
My question is should I repeat the last 2 days? or should I just get back on the horse and finish my last 5 days without any distractions. So far it hasn't effected my weight - although we will see in the morning what the scales say!
Any advice welcome, I have removed all temptation and have sworn to myself that this will never happen again. I 'm a little frightened now to think what I'm going to be like once finished, any advice on this would be appreciated too
Thanks guys

Hi Mum,

I am sure that you are beating yourself up enough over this and nothing I say can either make you feel worse or help at the moment. The best advice I can give is to ring your clinic first thing in the morning. They are the experts and will be able to tell you exactly what you should do.

Once you have found out what to do the best thing you can do is move forward(or backwards as the case may be) and get on with finishing this off.

All the best.

Rach

Thanks Rach for dropping by!
I have talked with the clinic this morning and have decided not to go back a couple of days I'm just moving on with it, I'm not going to dwell or beat myself up over it anymore.
I have had a great day today and doing what I did has actually forced me to learn a thing or two about myself! I gained 400g overnight which is quite ok considering I'm up and down 100g most days and I'm still 300g under my refeed start weight. I will remain 100% deviation free for the next 4 days and see if I can shift it.

I found that I started craving sweets and carbs during refeeding which I never did during my program. I also deviated during refeeding. That said though, I was told if I dont' want to eat all my food during refeeding I don't have to, so that in itself is a deviation from the refeeding isn't it (in a good way, eating less not more)? I finish refeeding today. I am finding the last few days where you have to subtract proteins and adding 2 "bad fruits" and new vegetables, etc EXTREMELY difficult to follow. It sometimes takes me 30min just to work out what I can or cannot eat and then if you split it up between meals it is so easy to make a mistake in your calculations.
Put your chin up and just do your best, also on maintenance.

I'm sick of the adding and subtracting too and the whole mixing proteins thing. I will be glad when Friday arrives (thats my last day) Look I'm not to worried I gained 400g and this morning after having a good day I lost 500g.
All the best to you too and enjoy the freedom

I hated refeed last time, although this next time, I hope to do it perfectly to see if that makes all the difference in how maintenance goes. I heard that I need a perfect going refeed to help me not mess up maintenance and gain again. But it was a darn hassle, that's for sure! I said f this after a week or so and started deviating. I won't make that mistake again.

Refeed is actually the MOST important part of the entire programme. Without completing refeed correctly, you do not get your HGH's new programming back to post diet quantities without screwing up the new programme. It's so important. The deviation won't cause that much of a problem in the refeed itself re: weight gain, unless it's over and over. But it can cause a deprogramming of the HGH and this won't show up until you hit maintenance. Then there is a good potential of having a binge and definitely screwing it all up. People need to remember that the weight loss portion of the programme is only to get your body back to a good healthy state, the underlying objective of the programme is to cure your body's bad HGH programming and that's why the programme is so strict, and refeed is so important.

Hi Everyone, I am also doing refeed (only two days to go) and must admit I have found the adding and subtracting a little challenging, and also mixing protiens has been a little tricky as I don't eat any red meat and when it comes to chicken and turkey I've never eaten anything apart from breast (even pre cohens) so all I have really mixed is things like scallops and prawns, turkey and cheese and tuna and cheese, the only new protiens I have introduced are salmon and scollops but am loving the variety of the new vegies and fruits, also does it matter that on the days when I'm meant to have two bad fruits if I substitute one bad fruit for a good fruit?

I think you are okay on the mixing- how about trying chicken breast and turkey? With the fruits, it's okay to do the substitution as you said, but why not try the two bad fruits to see how your body handles it? I remember my consultant telling me to cut back on the bad fruit only if my weight went up by more than a kg. Otherwise it is good to follow the refeed 100%.

actually if it says two bad fruits, you should have two bad fruits, this is to introduce larger quantities of sugar and carbs ( from the fructose in bad fruits ) into a single day - by using only one bad fruit and substituting a good you are not giving your body a full dose of fructose.

The refeed is only for 21 days maximum. Most of us spent more than 6 months on program ... why risk that because we prefer good fruit???

Trust in the plan ... it works!

I'm no expert myself on this refeed issue but I just do what the instructions tell me to. I'm no doctor and I've to trust that he knows the best and certainly he did - well he got me back into shape didn't he? Do give your clinic a ring and see what the consultants tell you. No one here should know better than them I reckon?
