Wink My Last Try 2016 - Weight Loss Journal

Hi Everyone

I'm from South Africa and this is my final attempt (after 2 attempts) because I believe THIS IS IT!!!
Growing up I was a very skinny girl but during my teenage years I started picking up weight uncontrollably and nothing I did to lose weight worked and I have tried almost everything out there. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 19.

I started the plan 3 years ago at a starting weight of 105kgs and I saw amazing results, lost 14 kg's after 3 months which was a great achievement for me (If I hadn't deviated, I would have lost far more). I was really not in the right frame of mind and totally gave it up all together as I wasn't very serious. I tried again a year later but after a week on the program I would give in to temptations, not that I was craving anything. Obviously I picked up weight again and more...

My light bulb moment was at the beginning of this year when I weighed a hefty 122.9kg. I have never in my entire life been here and this was truly a wake up call for me and that is when I decided to revisit my consultant and start all over. I am 30 yrs old, married and want to have children and I believe this eating plan will rectify this problem. I know it works!!! The reason I'm here in this forum is because I want to be accountable to myself foremost and those around me. Started the plan on 11 January 2016 and I'm almost done with week 2 and I feel amazing. Every time I go for a weigh in be it weekly or monthly I will be updating my progress as well as my day to day struggles if any and I truly will appreciate any support as I believe this is what will keep me going. My aim is to reach goal weight of 62-68kg as per Dr Cohen meaning I need to lose up to 60kg's this year. Seems a bit too much if you ask me but it is what it is and I'll make sure I get there this time around.

Here we go!!!

Well done. You've come to the right place, lots of support and motivational stories here. But in the end, I think, it's about committing to love yourself. Loving yourself means putting your needs above the needs of others, which of course is exactly what your doing by getting healthy. Good luck.

Hi My Last Try

Welcome back to Cohen's.

Good on you for giving this another go. You can do this!! Keep coming onto the forum for motivation and inspiration - it has done wonders for me.

Cohen's is the only thing that has ever worked this well for me and surprisingly I have been so motivated and really wanting to succeed. Not sure if its because of the money I have paid to do this or the fantastic results.

I just feel like I am on a natural high all the time and the weight loss is an added bonus. Have had great fun the past few weekends throwing out clothes that are too large now and fitting into plenty of things that no longer got anywhere near me. That is just the best feeling in the world!!

Keep up the great work and dedication - you are worth it and can do it!!

Looking forward to your updates

Kaz

@ Donzie, thank you so much for the kind words. Will definitely commit to loving myself first before anything else

@ Kaz28, Amazing how one feels whilst on the program, you feel good, no bloated feeling. Can't wait to 'throw out' clothes too. Thanks for the encouragement, really means a lot.

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate the support and motivation. Its really been difficult.

Week 4 and 5 seems to have been the worst, so many events happening all at once and I have found myself deviating I need to keep on track, can't give up now...

Note to self; "I can do this..."

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for checking up on me.

I'm ashamed to say I have been feeling very guilty coming back here as I fell off the wagon end February after doing so well So much has happened since then and it has been extremely difficult to get back up again.

I went on a 5 day cruise in March and there was no way I could stick to the plan, as a result, I just didn't go back to the plan. Been eating like I did before. Went back on the scale this morning (been postponing this), I only put on 2 kg's in nearly 3 months which is a bit of a consolation for me.

This is me now going back on plan. I still want to reach goal weight this year. I wish me all the best. I could have been so far by now... No use crying, just need to pick up where I stopped.

To those who have reached their targets, congratulations

I could copy and paste your post ....I'm in exactly the same boat ! I did very well last year , came 5kgs away from goal weight never went onto maintenance because the festive season happened , now it's 5months later and I picked up 6kgs. Been struggling to get aback into it and I refuse to sign up and pay all that money again, we did it once which means we can do it again !
Why is it so HARD !

Shaz0211, congratulations on your achievement thus far. You really almost there I totally get you. I don't understand why its so difficult. But we really can do this. I too am not prepared to sign up again. I will continue with my original plan. I have a long way to go but we really can do this. Lets keep going shall we?

Yes without a doubt....it's feels so great when you feel the weight coming off and I would do anything to feel like that again and to feel my clothes getting too big for me.
I'm not even bothered about what other people think
Let's do this
