Re: Bloodtest question.
Hi Kazzar,
It is my understanding that the first BT was the only fasting one. Melissa

Re: Bloodtest question.
Hey Kazzzar
Yes that is correct. You only fast for the initial blood test. I am about to have my third blood test (end of week 12). Cheers Cate |

Hi,
Does anyone know whether you have to fast before the initial blood test? Thanks, Sezi |

Re: Blood Test
Yes, 12 hours.
Your consultant should have gone through this with you. |

Re: 4 week blood test?
Hi Chezza,
As far as I'm aware there are no changes just confirmation that you are still on track and Dr C works out your refeed from these results. You are doing extremely well to have lost 12+kg after only 4 weeks. Melissa

Re: 4 week blood test?
Chezza, there are no alterations tom your plan throughout the programme. The only changes are at refeed. there are a few people who have had to have increased crackers and/or fruit due to low blood sugar or illness but otherwise what you've got is it. Good luck with it all.
Lauren

blood test analysis
Hello
Did anyone get an explanation of what their blood test results showed? All I got is the Personal Eating Plan, but that doesn;t explain too much about why I am eating the foods that have been given. Jackie |

Re: blood test analysis
Jackie, welcome to the forum.
As to the blood test it is a basic renal (kidney) and liver function as well as blood sugar which gives Dr Cohen some basic grounds to work from as well as taking into account our medical info that we filled out. I also feel that the blood tests are to ensure that we are 'eligible' to take on such a strict eating plan and not to cause any problems with underlying conditions we may have. As for the results, if you want I'm sure the clinic would give you a copy but unless you have a medical or nursing background they wouldn't mean much to you. Everyone is on the same foods it is just the amounts that differ from person to person. I have seen a couple of plans and they do differ. Kristine has written quite extensively about her views on the foods we eat and basically they are low carb, low fat and unlikely to trigger our insulin. I admit that the clinics and Dr Cohen don't give too much away in that regard but for me I was just pleased that it all worked and worked well and quickly. Anything more I have learned about the mechanics of it all have come from the forum. Good luck with it all, I hope this has been of some help. Lauren

Re: blood test analysis
Lauren and Sezi thanks for your responses. I appreicate you pointing me in the right direction. I will have a read of the previous discussion on this topic and get a copy of the results. I was just intrigued to know what their results showed. Also, I didn't know that we all ate the same foods - that was interesting. Thanks again.

BLOOD TESTS
Hi All, I've got my 4 week blood test coming up on Monday. I was wondering - does Dr Cohen change your amounts you can eat or anything else depending on your blood test result or do you stay on the EXACT same eating plan right through till refeed?
