Default 10kgs in 4 weeks! Starting 6th April

Hello everyone,

After a few months hiatus, I am back and ready to rock, cohens style! I got very close to losing 10kgs in my first month of Cohens, and want to try for that again - I will be happy with any loss, but I figure, why not aim high? Feel free to join! The more the merrier. Every tuesday for the next 4 weeks (starting tues 6th April) I will post the weight tally. Post a reward or goal - my goal is, having dropped from a size 22 to a size 16-18, to dropping completely out of the plus sizes! and being a curvy 14! Of course everyone's body is different and it might take more than 10kgs or 4 weeks for me to achieve that, but this is my goal, and every little bit counts right!

Happy Easter everyone and hope you are enjoying some time with your loved ones.

N2C

Hi N2C

That is a high goal to aim for when you are already so far along your journey (10kgs in 4 weeks is a high-end loss for month one even) but I wish you success! Even if you don't achieve it, if it helps you be motivated and deviation free, that is the most important thing

Hi N2C, I would like to join you on this deviation free challenge, my goal is to do 7 days of my original program, followed by 21 days of my last day of refeed. I have just got back from a lovely holiday and although I really enjoyed myself I really want to get back on track as I also took a holiday from Cohens LOL. I am easily distracted and really need to be accountable to someone, hoping you can help me out with that part, looking forward to sharing the next 28 days with you, let’s be positive, together we are stronger! I have listed my goals below.

Loose 4kg (back to end of reefed weight)
Maintain weight 56kg – 58kg
Shrink waist measurement to 68cm – 70cm

All the best to you,
Butterfly xxx

Just like to caution everyone about the reality of this challenge. For many years there has been a 10 kg in 6 week challenge to help people keep on track. In that challenge many did not get to 10 kgs which is fine if they understood it was just a fun thing. However some found it could demotivate them as they felt like failures.

10 kg in 4 weeks is a very high rate of loss and I don't think there are many on here that could achieve that even with being 100% on the programme. If this is just fun for you and a bit of a motivator then go ahead however be careful you are not setting yourself up to fail and get very disheartened.

It is the mind that often trips us up on this weight loss journey - be careful how much power you give to this.

Thanks Shanara, that is good advice and the very last thing I would like to do is demotivate or dishearten anyone, I am really happy in light of this to change it to 5 kilos in 4 weeks? Still a challenge but more achievable? Girls what do you say? We will still be just as focussed and reaching for the stars right!

Hi
I was thinking along the same lines as Shanara with my post.
5kg is more relaistic but even then only for the first month or so anyone beyond that who is going to feel they have failed if they don't achieve a certain number should probably stay out of this one.
Why not join a deviation free dancing mangoes challenge? I tried to 10kg in 6 week early on and didn't get there but found the mango one more realistc and cool to have in your sig!!!

Hi FMAT,

Sure, as long as it is just a bit of fun and if you know that you will not be derailed by not making it. As jlou says the mango challenge is good fun and there is already a 10 kgs in 6 weeks challenge that can be fun also.

There is also the waterwise challenge which is a really good way to remember your water intake.

It is important to enjoy the journey, learning about yourself, your body and your relationship with food along the way. Don't get too focused on the scale numbers but try to key into how your body actually feels and how your clothes fit. This is important for long term maintenance.

Regards
Shanara
