how do you set up those tickers ??

hi, call me silly, and naive but i have never really entered in a chat forum, and played with all the little bits and pieces you can add. I have tried to set up this ticker that some of you seem to have but when i do, all i manage to get is the address of it, not the actual pciture itself.. any ideas, or am i just plain crazy??
