Default No weight loss for the whole week

Hi all, I've been on the with the program for 3 weeks now. The first two weeks was good. I lost 3 lbs. for the first wee and 4.75 lbs. the second week. for the third week I only lost 0.5 lbs. I am confused and wondering what did I do because I know I am doing the program 100%. It seems like the weight loss has stopped. I'm kind of frustrated right now and lost motivation. Is this normal?

Thanks,
AlanaBianca

Hi Alana Bianca
It happened to me a couple of weeks ago - I actually gained weight then went another 3 days without a weight loss then I started moving again. Don't panic! My counsellor also told me when she was on the programme with a GF, her friends didn't move for 2 weeks and then all the sudden it was full on. Just make sure you follow exactly. You will lose again, and also the biggest losses are the first 1-2weeks.
Paula

Thanks, Paula. You made me feel better. I hope I'll see some weight loss this week.

I find that when this happens to me I am actually losing in my measurements rather than the scales. I bet if you were to try something on that you were wearing last week then it would be slightly looser than it was. I used to get disheartened when that happened to me but now I embrass it cause I know my body is adjusting to the weight loss and losing centimeters instead!!

I also find that when I do have slow weight loss weeks then I tend to have even bigger losses the following week. Don't try and work it out - just enjoy the ride!!

If you keep at it and strong then I know it will start moving downwards again.

I think that is why they recommend that you only weigh in once a month and take your measurements once a week. See how already this is mucking up your head!! If you are doing the program 100%, like you said you are then the weight WILL come off. Don't panic. Its early days into your program..............just wait and you will see how great this program really is. Unbelievable!!!

Well said Miss Parker - I believe this to be true - also slow weight losses to lead to larger ones.
As far as weighing yourself once a month, well I couldn't do it, but I guess it is up to the individual. It didn't mess me up...I just kept going. I love seeing the results day to day, they keep me motivated.

yup I am an addict to weighing myself daily...some days I get a little disheartened if there is no drop but then other days its like wahoo! I think you have to learn to take the highs with the lows as well, but if you let it affect you deeply then perhaps just weigh yourself every 4 weeks. I was blown away when I got my TOM and I put on about 2kg...I was gutted! haha but then I read on here it was pretty normal and it was flushed away within a couple of days anyway so that was good. Good luck with your journey!!

Hi all, thanks for the assurance. And like Miss Parker said, I just realize that my clothes are fitting much nicer not like before that I get a bulge on my tummy. After a week of no weight loss I think I'm back on track. Like Paula and Snuggly_Boots, I can't help myself but to weigh daily because I want to keep track on how I am doing.

Thanks,
AlanaBianca
