Default Cholesterol Levels on Cohen

Hi, guys! I had my blood test (4th week) done and included fasting blood sugar (which used to be above 6.0) and cholesterol (which used to be normal).

The good thing is that my FBS has gone down to normal range but my HDL (good cholesterol) has fallen below minimum while my LDL (bad cholesterol) has gone beyond the normal range. I'm confused. I'm eating vegetables, taking flaxseed oil -- all healthy things.

Has anyone had the same experience? Is this temporary? Appreciate your feedback.

Hi Len!!!

Did u speak to ur Dr about how u are now eating healthy and why you have this results?? I have taken my week 4 blood test but was only asked to have tests for my kidney function! Good question and would like to see if anyone had the similar results and have gone back to normal HDL n LDL! Don't worry too much about it though and keep going!!!

Hi, Ram!

I haven't seen my own doctor but I've asked the clinic about this. I gave them two other tests results I had in 2011 about this and they said they've forwarded it to Dr. Cohen. In the meantime, I'm still at it and thinking that a healthy diet should do the trick.

I used to have my food delivered by a company that does food-on-the-go with Cohen clients but I'm starting to do it myself so I would know exactly what is going into my food. Been a frequent visitor of the recipes section now.

We seem to have started at the same weight and you're a 70s girl now. How exciting! Can't wait to hit it!

One post I well recall that spoke of HDL and LDL was this one :-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=170294#post170294

It was quite a celebration - with no bad news in sight !!

One other thread (my fave on here ) may also give some clues

I haven't been over it recently, but I do recall it covers a wide range of "Changes" observed by others. Worth a look,

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!
