Amazing effort asy. In about 1.5 years this site has grown a lot quicker than anyone could have imagined.

The effect this site has had on my life is amazing. I'd like to formally, here in the forum, Thank You for starting this site up. I'd still be a fat obese slob if it wasn't for your efforts.

I think it makes a big different to those of us who have to do the program by correspondence - it gives us a great support network!!

My thanks too, asy. I often wonder where I'd be with the programme if I didn't have the forum. It's so much easier being able to share the highs and lows as they occur with all my new friends.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Wow! Thanks guys!!!

I've been a little offline this last week through sheer exhaustion, but I check in a few times a day.

This forum really means a lot to me, too. I know I've met some wonderful people, and remember, guys, it wouldn't be what it is without all of you.

I must admit, though, it's really grown amazingly. FAR beyond what I could have hoped. And that's fantastic.

I guess this is a great time to thank a whole mess of people, too.

Firstly I want to thank all the Admin and Mod staff, particularly:
LF, who was there in the early days, when I really needed IT stuff done.
Baloo, who's pretty much taken over for LF in the IT-Guru department.
Andy for his out of the box ideas which are great, and for being a good mate.
All the membership for their time and energy taken to make the forum what it is.
And last, but DEFINITELY not least, my conscience, AKA Koh. He's absolutely invaluable to me and I can't thank him enough for choosing to make a home here on the forum. Thank you my dear friend.

Thank you all, again, and I hope the forum grows and grows through the years to come. I hope you all find a place to 'belong' here, even (and especially) after you've finished the programme. Please stay.

asy.

That's easy to explain. Asy pays for the costs of this site out of her own pocket. I've suggested advertising to help with the costs but to date she's refused as she prefers the site to be ad free.

It's probably worth mentioning Quadra Hosting at this point too. I'm pretty sure they provide free hosting for asy and this site so if anyone is looking for a high quality value hosting for a web site, give Quadra a call.

I think that most of us would be happy to make a contribution to the costs rather than have asy pay them all. Could we maybe have a way of making a contribution, as happens on many of the free software sites?

Thanks guys, I appreciate the thought, but no, I don't want any contributions.

I've thought long, and hard, about whether to have contributions, and advertising, and for many reasons I've decided to have neither.

As Baloo says, Quadra hosts the site for us because the owner of Quadra is just the nicest guy ever. I pay all other costs, which I don't mind. The forum has given me much more than it costs.

If you want to do something, at least check quadra out if you do have any hosting needs. They're simply amazing. Aussie owned and exceptionally reliable... The most helpful thing, to me, is to keep the hosting situation 'status-quo'.

Thanks again, everyone, I've always been sure that if I 'called for donations' they'd come, but I'm happy with things as they are.

Smart, generous and slim, you are a powerful combination Asy. Thank you so much for the forum. As I've said many times the forum is the reason I decided to do Cohen's. I need a lot of support to lose weight and I've found it here.

So a heartfelt and grateful thanks to you and all the others involved.

love

Loulou

A big thankyou from me too ASY. The forum has given me a fantastic support group and made sticking to my program so much easier knowing there are so many like me out there. As an IT dill I have had so much help from others in being able to use this site to best advantage and keeping me positive.

Yay ASY.....A big hug from ...Possum

Thanks so much for this fantastic forum. I know that I wouldn't have been able to stick to this way of eating as well as I have if it hadn't been for the support this forum provides.

Of the many diets I've tried over the years I find it gets lonely out there battling to eat properly "by myself" with (at most) a weekly dose of encouragement or motivation at meetings. Most of the time I wouldn't stop to chat to people at the meetings and the people running the meetings and doing the weighing would just weigh me and that would be it, with little or no encouragement.

This forum is SO different. There is always someone encouraging others and how motivating it is to see so many kilo's being lost forever! It's even good to see, when others have struggled for various reasons, that it doesn't mean they give up (like I probably would have on any other eating plan) and that too motivates me to keep going.

I KNOW I can do this because of this forum which you started. I'm sure you have saved many lives (literally) because we have been able to lose the weight we needed to and get healthy and live because of what you started here.

WELL DONE ASY, and THANK YOU!

Louise

New Statistical evidence for him to accumulate!

He can go through all the diaries and figure out how many tonnes of fat have be pee'd away by all of our cohenites in the past 1.5 years since this board's inception.
