Default I hit 40kg today

40kg....

2 big bags of dog food
2 full suitcases
1 1/2 of my children
my Asian friend
mmmm I'll have to think of some more!

I know that I can't lift 40kg, but I used to carry it around every day everywhere I went. What a relief to have that off my body!

So, I beginning to feel like I'm heading towards the finish line. I have one more overseas trip, to Beijing, in March. Only for 5 days, so thats a bit easier to manage. and then I have a fairly clear run through to end of May, which is when I'd like to be finished by, if not before.

We have a tentative job offer for me in Japan, which I"m hoping to confirm this week. If that works out, I'll be in Japan by the middle of the year, and I'd like to be finished and have begun stabilising by then! Bring it on!

Hello Heavenlylamb

40 Kilos! That's absolutely amazing!

What wonderful news, and just fantastic progress.

When you started this program your goal weight must have seemed to far away, now you can almost touch it. 40 Kilos is such a lot of weight,as you have said, to lift it in your arms or to carry it around on your body, what have we done to ourselves?!?

So now that you are in the home run, this will be a breeze. May will be here in a flash and you will look very flash!

It is just lovely to watch your progress and the progress of other people on this program. I am sure that the success of the Cohen's program must be almost unequalled by any other program.

We lose weight steadily, our health improves, our bodies adapt and our figures emerge. Skin, hair, nails, complexion, all look healthy and glowing with vitality! It is a miracle and for those of us who have experienced this miracle a turning point in our lives.

Best wishes for the rest of the weight loss. You are a great example to those who follow you.

Regards

Kristine

WoW!!!!
Congratulations!!
40 kg loss is awesome! it's almost surreal thinking about how much excess weight we used to carry around, without even being aware of HOW MUCH it actually was... (that probably sounds weird - 40kg is 40kg, but you don't seem to realise how HEAVY that is until it's gone, and you try to lift something that weighs that much!)

Again, a big congratulations!

CONGRATS PENNY!

That's so COOL!

I remember 40kg down, it's amazing isn't it. It's such a HUGE weight.

I know there's no way I could now lift what I've lost, but I used to cart it around with me all day every day. It's insane what we did to our bodies, thank goodness we came to our senses!

Hi Baloo.
I am just past 32 weeks. It would have been faster except for my regular business entertaining, travel etc.
But I reckon if you can follow the plan at 85-90% of the time and still lose as much weight as I have and at the speed I have, then it must be a fantastic diet!

Well done Penny, I am seriously hoping that that will be me tomorrow. It seems so inconceivable at times that we had that much extra on us, like you, there is no way known I could (or would) pick up something that weighed that much. I applaud you and hope that your home run is within sight.

Another Well Done Penny

I love your analogy of what you are now NOT carrying.

2 Bags of 20kg Cement you can to the list.

And we wonder why our joints hurt, we are slower than when younger and lighter, get more tired more often, etc...

I have 36kg to lose and 5kg is down so should feel like I have ballons attached.

What else do you notice haveing lost so much weight. Other than the fitting clothes. Do you puff as much? Do you find stairs easier? DO you seats more roomy?

I know the answers are probably yes but I like to hear your experience being actually at this point.

regards, Peter 14.7

YES!! 40.1kg.
Seats are roomier Peter, stairs aren't as steep, you can squeeze into smaller gaps, it is a great feeling tha's for sure.

The seats are roomier is a big one for me! I kept complaining that the airplanes were putting their seats closer together and there was barely enough room to sit down. Then once I lost weight I realised it was just me getting fatter! and I didn't have to breathe in to get the seat belt done up on the plane.
The seats in my car used to feel small. Now, they are annoying because they are so wide. and I needed to move the seat forward, because my excess backside was previously taking up so much room that when it became smaller, I couldn't reach the pedals!
I've dropped a shoe size.
I go to sleep without worrying whether I'll wake up in the morning or not.
To be honest, I still puff because I'm unfit. But not just walking out to check the mail!
My skin looks healthier. My hair is thicker. I don't seem to suffer from any PMS symptoms.
I haven't had a neckache/ headache for ages. I used to have them most weeks - caused from the strain on my neck of having such big boobs!
People think I'm more competent at work.. (fat= incompetent/out of control)
So many more, but thats enough for now!
