Default Introduction

Hi everyone!

I have recently gone for my initial blood test and am (impatiently lol) waiting for my eating plan. I did this a couple of years ago, but I am doing it via correspondance now as the Darwin clinic has closed. I have about 20kg to lose. Piled all my weight back on after I had my baby, and I got addicted to drinking iced coffee lol. So naughty.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself before I get my plan.

Do you think the plan would change lots from last time? Last time I was on 3 fruits a day. Ive read a lot of people seem to only be on 2 fruits a day though. Is this the new 'normal"?

Welcome

Everyone's eating plans are different and your second one will also be. Whatever the Doc prescribes is your new prescription; whether it be 2 fruits or 3 fruits, there is no norm on the program.

Good luck on your journey and perhaps you can start a diary.

MH

Hopefully I get it sometime next week then. Its hard to get organised when I'm not sure what i can have this time aroound haha.

Yeah I just thought maybe something had changed with the program thats all. When I did it 4 years ago almost, I did it with a group of friends. We all had 3 fruits. Just seems everyone I talk to these days has 2 fruits.

I might start a diary though. It will keep me honest lol

The foods should be the same, it will just be the quantities that will be different.

You will do great - good luck

Hi - welcome. All the best with your new plan, you'll be back into the swing of things in no time. You will be surprised to see how quickly you can get back into your 'Cohen' routine. It only took me a week and this is my second time too! Please make sure you start a diary, I'd love to check out your progress and I have found reading other peoples diaries inspires and motivates me.
Good on you.
Andie

Hi and welcome back! I find a lot of inspiration comes from interactions with members of this forum. Someone is always online and knows exactly what you are going through. I am a bit of an NYF addict at the moment and it gives me a distraction. Cos when I'm typing, I can't eat!
I have found that starting a diary has helped keep me honest and motivated. I also enjoy reading everyone elses. We're in the same boat and are experiencing the same obstacles. It's a great reminder that we are not alone. This thought really comforts me.
I hope you both start new diaries, I look foward to reading your progress. Hugs Andie

Well I never ended up starting my program. Had a few issues with my blood tests, but all sorted now and I have received my new Eating Plan. I am planning to start on Monday as we are just about finished our kitchen and bathroom renovations. I want enough time to plan correctly and get organised. I have printed out all of the recipes I want to try, and i have created a meal plan for the whole week so i dont deviate. I will start a diary as well to keep me honest.

I honestly have never felt this low before or overweight and unhealthy. I really let myself go. I want to try for another baby this year but i need to lose a lot of weight before hand as i have to go through IVF. Hopefully I can do this. They should just stop making iced coffee. that would be easier haha

Hi Gemini85,
Glad everything is sorted out for you and how excited that you have a new plan!
You sound super organized already and I think that's an important factor in this program.
I agree with you about being honest with yourself especially when you run into obstacles. This journey isn't easy by any means and the forum provides a platform for us to give each othet support, encouragement, sympathy, and motivation - well that's just my opinion.
Good luck, I look forward to reading about your progress in your diary.
I hope your feelings change for the better and I believe that this will help you. It has helped me and my depression, but everyone is different.
Congrats for taking this step and gaining control.
Looking forward to reading about your experiences.
Hugs Andie

Hi Ellie

Welcome to the Forum!

Please click 'Home', then scroll down to NEW MEMBERS Start Here!

This NEW MEMBERS has all the T & C of the Forum

Then, find and click on New Diaries in the next section. You cannot have a Diary unless you have a Cohen's Program, new or old, so you will need to fill in a NYF Diary Request Form

After that, you can open your own Diary and start posting!

Good luck on your way to the New You!

Lotsa love
Kristine
