Default Fruit - advice please!

After reading a few posts and an email from my consultant im alittle confused about the fruit timings etc.

Can someone please tell me their thoughts while i wait for a reply from the clinic.

I was under the impression fruit could be had at any time of the day.

I think fruit can be eaten at anytime of day, provided you only eat one piece at a time, and your second piece (and more if it is in your allowance) should be eaten no sooner than 2.5 hours from the first piece (same with the crackers, only max 2 at a time, 2.5 hours apart).

So you can eat fruit as a snack in between meals, as well as with meals as long as the timing is 2.5 hours apart.

While working I have breakfast before 7am, a snack if I am hungry of either cracker or cracker and fruit at about 10:30am-11am. Lunch is usually around 1-2pm - I don't have fruit or crackers then. If I am hungry I have cracker and/or fruit at 3:30pm - 4pm, otherwise I save the rest of my cracker allowance as part of dinner, and have the fruit as dessert.

That is how I understand it anyway - hope that helps.

Thanks girls, i knew that, i knew it!! Not sure what happened in my mind but the last few nights i had an orange with dinner at 7ish then kiwifruit well before 9 ? couldnt work out why my weight was sitting at the same weight for days!

I was also told bed is 2-2.5hrs after eating my last food, not just my last meal, so I try not to eat anything after dinner I started out eating fruit as supper & then going to bed too early.
