Default Peter 14.7 Hits GOAL 2 - half way!

Hello All

I don’t know if this is correct manners but I believe in marking success so I am hear to say this morning I achieved Goal Two: 94KG.

That means I am:

1. Weighing less than I weighed in 1998 (turning back time 9 years?)
2. Into “old fat” as Less Fatty puts it.
3. Have lost as much, as I left to lose
4. On the down hill run.

Surprisingly, I am not as euphoric as Goal 1 as I knew I would achieve it. I think it has sunk in but as the Treasurer would say “what a beautiful set of numbers: 18kg lost 18kg to go!

FYI I actually felt “fear” a few days ago when I realised I would be achieving this milestone. I think this is because 95kg was a weight I stayed at for a long time (5year or so). I was fit and “comfortable” with the weight as I did see myself as fat but chubby.

To move into low 90’s and then the big one 80 something will be a super shock to my mindset. I don’t even know if I still have size 34 or 32 jeans?

We are getting back to a size of the 20 something Peter: newly married, blonde-haired, extrovert (some things have not changed) who instructed aerobics and dreamed of being a building designer/ builder. It all seems so distant like a dream or another life?

I have a pic taken at the Opera House just before wife and I got married at 22. Learning against my new mountain bikes, arms crossed the biceps bulge, the legs hard, the gut…what gut?

To think that in 6.5 weeks I have lost half the weight and probably in another say 10 weeks I will be 76kg again taking some getting around mentally.

So thanks for reading this and I hope my success inspires others as the success of many here has inspired me.

Regards, Peter 14.7

Peter, with that line you gave me visions of you in a very skimpy leather one piece on a big navy battleship singing like Cher

Great stuff mate. Halfway is a milestone worth celebrating. You've done it in super quick time so it's even more noteworthy. What does the wife think ?

I reckon though that the 2nd half will be a bit slower than the first. As there is less % of fat to burn, it'll take longer. But hey, the rate you are going you'll be ready to strut around Manly Beach in a pair of budgie smugglers by the time summer gets here.

Sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror or a window and think "who is that tall dark and handsome young guy with the cute ar*e ?..I should ask him out for a date get him drunk and then take him home for some spanky."

Of course I am just 1/2 serious here, yet I do look at myself in the mirror and it doesn't seem real, it is not me or my internal image of me. I am a fat guy, that is my self image, it has been so for more than 10 years. In 6 months we can change our bodies faster than our self image.

32in pants I cannot believe I can fit into them now yet 34in and a belt has as asy calls it a "better line".

Peter it doesn't seem long since you started, you are more than 1/2 way to your goal. It is just one week, one day , one Cohen meal at a time and you will get there, no ifs, buts or maybes, it's an absolute certainty, amazing isnt it! You will be in 32in pants looking buff before you know it!

Thanks Baloo.

Skimpy leather one piece. Well I have a few gay friends so I know the standards are high so it is will be 76kg and some serious gym work before I am Mardi Gra quality.

Hope to be finished by spring not summer but I acknowledge the second half will be slower. But how will be interesting.

Peter

This thread is getting really gay!

Seriously, yeah, I look and think "what youre doing?!"

And yes I bought some size L but fitted tee shorts and the bulges do show so a size larger is the go. My theory is I will shrink into them.

Wife wise, well, it is all about "cause and effect"

She is very pleased with the new look: Cause
How she responds to the new me we are working on: Effect

rPeter much applause coming up the Calder to you. These are new 'feelings' that we all face as our new (old for some) selves emerge. I can't stop looking in shop windows and glimpsing a look at that slim 'attractive' confident woman walking in my shoes. Yeah, the mind is a bit behind the body at the present but give it time and I know that I will be that woman 100%. Well done. A significant step for all of us.

Congratulations Peter - fantastic effort! I too passed halfway this morning and am absolutely thrilled. Having more behind you than in front is very refreshing. As for weight loss slowing down/being harder as you get to goal - my hubby lost 24kg in 15 weeks on Cohens - the only time it was hard for him was that he started to get hungry right towards the end - guess he had less fat for his body to feed off. The weight loss for him didn't slow down though, so that's encouraging. He never thought he'd be in a size small or 32" pants, but he is and sometimes they're too big. Agreed too with the pay off re spouse - it's like being married to a different man, or having an affair! Bring on goal I say!!

Thankyou for the post Hehoewarren.

All music to my ears re:
  • No slowing in the loss for hubbie
  • The rekindling of the passion

Very encouraging and I look forward to enjoying both with vigour.

Lastly, BIG congrats to you on getting past halfway as well. 36kg is a stunning result.

Peter
