Which part of your face is having breakout?

If it is forehead, you are probably stressed. If it is on your chin, maybe it is due to constipatient. If it is near the upper lip area, that is probably PMS. If it is on the cheeks, that is most likely hormone.

I am using good skincare products so I rarely get breakout and the skin actually gets even better since starting cohen.

Frotnight what a wealth of information you are!

My breakout has been on my forehead - and it has been a crazy week at work so maybe it is just stress. Because as you say - my skin had been getting better on the program - must be all those vitamins and goodies from all the vegies

Hi girls,

I have had alot of pimples since I started. More than usual. My skin is also really dry. All over my body but especially my face and hands. My hands get so dry that they crack and split. OUCH!!!

I read that some acne might be due to skin being dehydrated. Maybe you need a good face cream?

My skin does get drier than normal after I started Cohen. I am not complaining because I used to have oily skin. With slightly drier skin, it is easier for me to manage.

Hi Doing it for ME

Very reassuring to hear you say this- thanks for your post! My skin has never been perfect, but the pimples on my cheeks are really multiplying now, and I go through concealer like crayons! I think I am at about that week 10-12 milestone, so your post gives me hope that my skin will clear up soon. You are right- that is a REALLY long detox! But I can bear it if there is an end in sight!

My skin has never got any better than now, even my beautician is amazed that the skin has cleared up and it is less clogged now. It must be the detox. In the initial phase, I could see the pimples surfacing themselves quite a bit but once they've all settled nicely, they remained quite so for a long while

I had a monster of a pimple plonk itself on my chin about a week after I started the program. It lasted over a week and even now there is a pink mark! I normally have perfect skin so it was a bit upsetting! I haven't had any more since, so I've put it down to the detoxification that takes place at the start of the program.

As for the dryness... I have been moisturising top to toe every morning with a variety of creams with Q10, vitamin e and anything else I can think of that might help the elasticity, so I haven't noticed whether I am drier than normal.

I'm sure with some quality products and patience we'll all have Flamie's fabulous skin at the end of our programs

Oh, oh, oh, I just had another thought... I drink a couple of cups a day of rooibus (or redbush) herbal tea which is good for the skin and also helps shed toxins. Perhpaps that would help?

You can buy it in coles and it's a nice, warm, non-bitter flavour that doesn't need anything added to it. I learnt about it here http://www.detoxaustralia.com.au/time_for_tea.htm

Bye again!

For the first month or so I got a lot of pimples on my cheeks and forhead which I had never had before, also my skin was really dry. I found a hot facewasher applied to the face morning and night to steam away the junk did wonders. I also brought the Body Shops Vitamin A face day moisturiser. I was never a huge 'natural' skin care advocate but it is working really well and I haven't had pimples since.

I have had years and years of oily pimply skin and in fact had to go onto the pill for it when I was younger. Since I have been on this diet it has been fantastic, glowing, no pimples. Just great. I too drink rooibos (but I didn't know about its detox effect - I just like it!), And once a day, because my skin is drier and I am also into my menopause I use bio-oil on my face. Twice would be a bit heavy but a tiny amount before bed - what a difference! I have beautiful soft skin now and for those who are experiencing dryness I could really recommend it.
