Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
I managed to drop some more kilos over Xmas and New Year. Then when we got back to work in January I decided to spill the beans to a Cohen Consultant, with whom I had communicated before. Here is the catch. Cohen cannot do your re feed, unless he has bloods from before and after(4 weeks). As I had been on the plan (albeit someone else's) blood tests now would be meaningless. So.... I have to go off for at leat a month, then have my blood done, and only then can I continue along the path of slimming. I will be having my tests on the 13th of Feb. So please hold thumbs that at least I keep my weight where it is for now..really do not want to backtrack. Moral of the story???? DO NOT USE SOMEONE ELSE'S PLAN. You actually don't score anything. |

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Welcome Bibabs
I guess I don't understand why they can't just take your blood work from now even though you have been using someone else's plan. Whats the difference if you were doing this diet or a different one. But what ever. You had some really nice results. I would just be carefull so as not to gain any while you wait. You have been on the plan so have a idea of how you need to eat and how much. good luck pudge |

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Hi Bibabs's,
Maybe you can get some tip over in the The End! Refeeding and After Cohens section as to how to do some sort of re-feed while you are waiting for the new plan. You don't want all your hard work to go to waste. I know that quite a few people on re-feed tell you exactly how much they add of what items during there re-feed. It's worth a try. Good luck and hopefully you will be feeling well on the next plan. Cindy |

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Thanks for the welcomes and support. Yes I'll have to be carefull, I already found myself stuffing my face on oat cookies. Bakes for the family and jst couldn't keep it out my mouth. Well back to limited portions of food today and LOTS of water I think. This is going to be tha longest 3 weeks of my life..... I think one of the reasons COHENis so successfull, is tha it instills dicipline while you are on it. I mean it is not as if you have mega choice..basically you get told how much and what to eat. So having to go off it is like telling a toddler there are no rules!!! or am I being silly

Hi Bibabs, I'm really glad for you that you're on your way to becoming LEGAL
I'll be holding thumbs for you during these 3 weeks. I don't have much advice, other than maybe just to check out the Refeed section of this site as said previously. GOOD LUCK and WELCOME!

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Hi guys
I have great news. I am going for my bloods tomorrow morning. Have just spoken to the consultant, and told her that I actually have not been 100% COHEN compliant since Christmas, so I was sure that my analysis would be OK. AND SHE AGREED, (Isuppose she felt that I had suffered enough). So soon I'll be back on track. Will keep you posted and my diary updated. |

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
The weight has stayed off. Still the same as I was when I had to go off. I had a look at that section, but it seemed awfully complicated, so what I did was just eat one different veg or fruit each day, plus I made sure I had at least one carb serving per day...oh and I had extra and mixed protein....almost like a bit of a holiday. I even had some cookies and last night and a glass of wine. So I am all ready and fired up. Waiting for my eating plan now. But what I'll do, is back on the straight and narrow today, the blood has been taken so I can continue with my friend's plan until I get my own. I think that wold probably be the wisest move.

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Oops guys, this is serious. Managed to gain 3kg over the weekend. I hope it is water retention.(I have an allergy to wheat..it makes me swell up and I had a muffin and toast on Sunday) Still waiting for my plan.

Hey Bibabs ..
So exciting!!!! I dont know if this will work for you, but I chew chewing gum (make sure it's the one you're allowed to have) when I cook etc cause it makes you think twice before eating something you shouldn't... Give it a try Wishing you the best of luck.. this is awesome |

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Great news. I went for my consult this morning..she had my eating plan already. I was really impressed with the efficiency.( I only had my blood test on Friday) and by Monday afternoon they had my plan!!!!
My goal weight has also changed so I have to amend my ticker. I should have registered for my own plan long ago...I can eat a lot more than I did..how weird is that. I will keep noting my progress. Here is to one day without deviations. |

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Day 1 behind me, and WOW do I feel good!!! I am sure my subconscious cannot be that strong!!! I mean can COHEN really make such a big difference in just 24hrs?? Maybe it is the inspiration and the vibe I picked up from the clinic, or maybe just the fact that now I am now really working towards a goal.
I had absolutely no problem with deviations yesterday, so I'll say it again (affirmation you know) Here's to another compliant day. |

Re: Bibabs's Confessions/Diary
Went shopping last night!!! Bough some tops and I am into a size 10. I actually cannot believe it. I am 53, the last time I fitted into a size 10 was when I was about 16 Recipe book is fantastic. Made a few breakfasts, using the patty pan recipe(vege and egg) did a variant with cheese instead of egg. Stuck them in the fridge for use over the next 3 days. Really great and the curried sweet tuna is to die for, yummy...had that last night. I have my family wishing they were on Cohen. Here is to another good dedicated day |
