Default Vee's Refeed Diary (OMG, I Made it!!)

I'm getting my diary started all ready to begin tomorrow!

I'm so glad I've made the decision as I've been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hungry today! My back has also been aching a fair bit, different to the ache I felt before, so I can only assume I've finally been getting the signs!! Not that I particularly needed them, but it does feel good to get extra confirmation!

Naturally will keep you all posted with my progress!

Vee

Default Day 1

Starting weight: 65.1kg

Day one is here! My weight dropped nicely as it usually does on a Saturday. 900g down! TOM arrived as well, which sucks, but seeing as the weight went down, I'm impressed!

Ok, so today I get to add a bit of extra protein and veg and to have an extra 'good' fruit. Initially I got all excited, planning to have extra yoghurt for brekkie, but then discovered yoghurt, cheese and egg cannot be increased.

So I've had my yoghurt and apple, (stewed in sprite zero with a dash of cinnamon) added some psyllium and that was my filling brekkie.

Got some prawns that I pre-cooked to have as my lunch with my veg (I think I'll add some of the extra veg allowance here) and then planning on going to Get Hooked for dinner tonight, where I'll have my last meal and have the increased protein then and the other part of the increased veg.

I haven't planned what 'good' fruit I'm having yet, as I want to see what is in the vege shops first.

Thanks for the congrats and visits, Samnich, Jen and Shazza!

Vee

HI Vee!
I've stalked you into re-feed land!
BIG Congratulations on beginning this new phase - your strength to see this through is what I lacked 8 years ago, and here I am, back again, determined to get to re-feed and beyond. It's so important in keeping the weight off..

I'm sure you'll find that the bigger quantities and extra fruit and veg will curb the desire to blow it all at Burger King.

Good on you hon!!!!!! Rootin' for ya.

Congratulations, Vee. I'm absolutely thrilled to see you have made it into Refeed Land. It's been a long journey, you've had some ups and downs in your life along the way, but you've stuck with the diet and now you have the reward of looking into the mirror and seeing the slim you that's been hidden for so long. 51.5 kgs is an amazing effort, and, as others have said, you may well lose some more during refeed.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Ended not going out for dinner, but making my own. I had the extra protein for dinner and some of the extra veg, and wow, it was a big meal! Really satisfying too! I don't know how I'm going to get to the end of refeed with all that extra food!

Tomorrow I get to have some bread. I'll give it a go, got the Bergen Soy and Linseed bread. May have a chicken mayo and salad sandwhich!

Thanks so much for your visits and congrats, Yeti, Dedee, Rowemob, AJ, HB, SB, Mette, Maria and LL!

Maria, my refeed is 18 days.

Hope you are all having a fab weekend!

Vee

BREAD!!!!! I am soooo jealous! Looking forward to seeing what you get each day, and what I have to look forward to!

Its funny, we were going to go to Get Hooked tonight also, but pulled the pin late this afternoon. The rain is not condusive to going too far from home is it!

Great to see a big loss today and that all is going well with you.

Cheers

I didn't find bread hugely exciting. I can kinda take it or leave it, and the only bread I eat at the moment is Burgen rye. Still, it's nice to get something new, just for the variety.
I actually found that my body adjusted really well to the bigger portions. I didn't have that awful stuffed feeling, but felt very nicely satisfied. I think you might find the same thing, and that the bigger portions and variety stops cravings for naughty things.
Stay strong and keep smiling, pretty lady! You're doing great!

Default Day 2

Starting weight: 65.1
Today's weight: 65.2
Difference: +100gm

I see I'm up 100g today. Not overly concerned at this point. Am wondering though if it is due to the extra food, or TOM or the fact that come Monday, my body seems to gain extra grams always! Only time will tell.

I had my steak for brekkie today and added my extra veg allowance to it. I'll add my extra protein allowance to lunch with my slice of bread.
I'm still drinking my 3 litres of water a day, sometimes more, but never less.

Not much else to report. I've been working on my scrapbook, collecting stuff for it and having a think of how to put it together. I'm finding it a rather interesting experience. I looked up on google 'negative emotions' and the list that came up was enormous and of course so many of them applied to how I used to feel when I was enormous. It was an eye-opener, as many of the feelings I used to feel, I did not even realise I felt, probably because I was always suppressing them with food. Feelings like Inadequate, Powerless, Anxious, and Resentful. I think I may do some more on the scrapbook today.

Thanks for the visit Jenny! I have to admit, I'm not overly excited about the bread, will see how it goes, also quite happy to leave it out. What will be exciting is that putting some chicken and salad between two half slices will be much easier to eat than trying to put it between crackers!

Hope everyone is having a fab, fat melting weekend!

Vee

Hi Vee,

Congratulations gorgeous woman.

What an amazing journey you have had. I really admire your courage and your committment. Your honesty and willingness to share your vulnerablities are inspirational. I wish you every success on your refeed journey and also life after Cohens - maintenance and beyond.

Sounds like your off to a flying start. Enjoy the new taste sensations. Wonder what fruit will you choose. Personally I am hanging out for blueberries ..... ah they would be so good with yoghurt.

Blessings
Shanara

Hey Vee - congratulations on making it to refeed!! CC showed me your latest photos today and I was blown away by how good you are looking (and loved your old shot just as comparison). You've done so well and I hope refeed is awesome for you!

Cheers - Kay.
