Default starting yet again....

I have started cohens diet yet again and I am on my second week.

My starting week was 81kgs and today I weigh 77.5, so that's a total of 3.5kgs lost so far in 10days.

I am very excited to carry on but I have good and bad days.

Is there anyone still on this site?

All the posts are so old...

Anyway, will be posting on here to keep myself honest and to keep track of my progress.

I am here to-after 3 days of deviation (almost autocorrects to devil-more true than my phone knows...).

Had 3 great weeks then went on holiday. Now day 4 of holiday. Will start again tomorrow and hopefully stay deviation free before I undo 3 weeks completely.

😢😢😢

I'm also starting again, just completed week 2 and lost 10 pounds. I plan on staying on another 2 or 3 weeks. Id like to lose another 10 to 15 pounds. Hoping to get support and daily perspective so i can stay on track.

Smile Re: starting yet again....

Hi, I’m starting again after two years putting all my weight (plus more) back on.
Im going to use my old plan as I can’t afford to join again. I never got to goal weight in time last time around but at least I know what to expect from the plan. I’m excited for the changes but a bit worried I won’t be able to keep it off as I never got a re-feed plan. Not that I have to worry about that yet.... today is day one of my journey!
Hoping to find motivation as well as tips and tricks on here.

Good luck on your journey and keep us updated on how you’re getting on. It’s nice to know others are starting again too especially around the same time. You can be my inspiration

Hi SavQueen,
Wishing you luck as you go again. Many on here have found their old plan works still. Those who struck problems usually had been in a major life change of some kind, and the plan they had was for a totally different version of themselves. e.g. they did the plan as a young lady, then tried again 10 years later, after bearing two children, and giving up work, etc.

So if your life hasn't changed that much then the old plan will likely work for you too.

Re the lack of a Refeed, well, though not ideal, if you read around you can ceratinly pick up a heap of clues re "how to go about it". Then again, ask on here, and there might be others who can give you pointers.

From what I read, the MAJOR thing with Refeed is to increase your foods in a structured way. It needs to be fairly quick, as your body's fat stores are now GONE, so you need more food to "keep you going". During Refeed, you will likely start to "feel full" even before you finish a meal, and this can give you an idea re how much you should eat going forward.

The important bit about Refeed is to gradually re-introduce some of the "bad" foods to gauge how your body reacts. By doing this while your body is "clean", you can discover that SOME foods trigger bad effects, and they should perhaps be "never again", or "eat rarely" foods for YOU.

By the way, no foods are really that "BAD" - Dr Cohen calls the hi-sugar or hi-calorie foods "bad" while you are trying to lose weight. The Plan has you learn which are "good foods" so you can base your future around the right food types for the rest of your life. Of course, cream doughnuts still taste delicious, but perhaps it is meant to be a "now and then" treat, not an everyday staple, yeah?

Anyway, SavQueen, you get in and go hard - there are one or two still around in here - mainly me, and I pop in every few days to see what is still happening. Good luck with it,

Koh
