How do the Blood tests work?
Into my fourth week and going well, havent deviated once, I hope I can maintain that. I m wondering if anyone can tell me how electrolytes, urea and creatinine tests provide any information on HGH and hormone levels, I really dont understand it. Also if the blood results are normal to start with what is the doctor looking for. If you know of a link to answer my questions please post it. Looking forward to Wednesday, week 4 weigh in. I m aiming for 10kgs fingers crossed. |

Re: How do the Blood tests work?
Hi Fab,
Maybe not the whole answer, but I recall this post seeming to make a lot of sense. She sounds like she knows what she is talking about :- http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=215948#post215948 Hope it helps, Koh

Re: How do the Blood tests work?
It happened to me while I was on the diet and my consultant recommended I drink a little less water. So I dropped my water intake from 3L to 2.5L and that did the trick. But yes- I think you might want to check with either your GP or your consultant.

Re: How do the Blood tests work?
the most likely cause , in a short term process, is over hydration ( too much water)
of itself a low reading of blood urea nitrogen is not indicative of any problems. as you ahvent deviated i am guessing tghe reading isnt because of excessive alcohol consumption. It could also be a reaction to a major decrease in protein consumption ( very likely as you are on cohens) pregnant? are your test results being sent to your gp- you can nominate this on the form- your gp will be able to assess how your liver is doing but will probably want to do a new fasting blood test ( you will also probably be told that your blood sugar level has changed - surprise surprise) please educate your gp about cohens- give them the details and the contact for your clinic as they are generally unaware cheers mark cheers mark
