Hi there,

I have a quick question - my refeed plan says i can mix proteins - does this mean i can mix eggs or cheese with my beef or chicken?

Thanks

You can mix the egg, yoghurt or cheese proteins WITH other proteins... you just cant INCREASE them. Those ones have to stay the same.

I was a bit confused at the beginning as well.. thinking that I was only allowed to mix between the actual meats... but I double checked with my consultant and she reassured me that I was able to have cheese with Chicken or Tuna or things like that... I just cannot increase the cheese quantity. I am excited about this cos it means I will be able to have my healthy chicken Parmigiana next week!! yipppeee!

Hope this helps!
Blessya

Thanks Kannadew!
The more information the better and a great way to clear up confusion for some of us.

You can mix any protein, but remember you have old and new protein. Egg, cheese, and yogurt are all old protein, and you cannot have them together, nor can you increase them.

So you can have for example your cheese portion for lunch and add steak chicken or fish as the additional protein. What you cannot do is have fish as normal lunch protion and add cheese as the additional protein.

What you could also do is to select egg as your basic protein portion, then add the additional as steak, and voila you have steak and egg!

Also remember the rule of cheese once a day still applies.

The re-feed does look complicated but if you take it a day at a time you will see the logic to it and it makes sense.

Food never tastes better than it does on refeed.... dont hesitate to treat yourself to purchasing of the best ingredients, fresh berries , eggplants, even the first slice of bread is worthy of a special bread! You deserve it!

Gosh, Lessfatty, I couldn't agree with you more. I actually think the whole COHEN experience has placed feeding in a whole new light for me. Each meal is a celebration and is there to be savoured, NOT devoured. I used to eat so quickly, that I would be finished often before the rest of my family had even started eating. NO JOKES. Cohen has taught me to ENJOY, and with refeed more so, because of the variety, and I think because of the planning that has to go into each meal.
