Talking Back to complete this journey

Well I got my program and I started on 20 October 2014. I have been struggling already. It is not because I am hungry or craving naughty stuff. I just haven't been organised. Anyway, today started off well and I have packed a DF lunch for work, so all good. The hardest thing was not having a flat white. Black coffee is just not very nice.

As you will see from my signature, I did Cohens once before, didn't finish and then got a Lapband. Lost some more, took a break and maintained for about a year and then recently gained about 5kgs. So I guess for me it is more a mind thing than a physical hunger thing. The lapband makes it easier because I can't eat heaps anyway, actually sometimes I struggle to finish my food. So for me it is more about eating the right stuff because I love my carbs and I know that is my poison. So Cohenites, I am back on track and on the final stretch of my journey. It has been a while but I am making progress.

When I get to goal, the final step in this long journey is a tummy tuck/body lift. I have already started saving for this. I am back at work doing a 6 month contract and my hubby has agreed that all my pay can go towards my transformation. It sure makes work a lot more bearable knowing you are doing it for something specific.

Here's to getting to goal and doing reefed this time. Wish me luck.

Hi Downsize and welcome to the final part of your journey. Things are a bit quiet on the forum lately but there are still a few of us here to encourage each other along.

Well done for getting organised with your lunch today, that's one of the biggest hurdles with this eating plan and if you can master that, you'll be fine

I enjoyed looking at your pictures! Wow! You have already made a huge transformation and I look forward to following your progress as you complete this awesome journey! It will go so quickly if you can just stick to it 100% and from the sounds of things you're well on your way.

Louise

Hi S2BS

Thanks for the encouragement and for checking my photos. Yes I have already come a long way which makes it a bit more difficult at times. When I find it difficult to follow the plan, I think to myself that I weigh so much less and I am so much healthier, is it really necessary to lose more? I feel okay with my body at this stage but obviously I would love to get into the 60's and if a miracle happens, into the 50's. I keep reminding myself that if I am going to go for any plastic surgery to get rid of the loose skin, it will be so much more effective and noticeable if I am at goal weight. With the weight loss to date, my health has improved so much. No more blood pressure medication, no sugars in my blood (wasn't diabetic but was getting dangerously close), my liver is healthy, my cholestrol is ok. The only thing still troubling me is sore hips and regular lower back pain from sitting a lot. I am sure when the last 20kgs are gone, all these symptoms will be gone too.

I see you are from Perth. So am I.

Good luck with your journey too. Chat soon.

If there's a magic pill for staying youthful, it may be one that's hard to swallow: exercise. Move a little to keep your body fit and healthy while eating the right kinds of food from your diet. Stay young and healthy!
