Round 2
I lost over 40 kgs when I started Cohen's last April and got to my refeed. Timing wasn't too good as we were moving house and the program kinda got put on the back burner. Although I didn't put back on all the weight plus more, I have put on about 12kgs since January and have decided to start my program again this week. Today is day 4 and I feel really good about it. Am aiming for a 10kg loss over the next 4-6 weeks before starting the refeed. Some threads in the forum suggest a new program is needed but I seem to think this one is working fine. Has anyone else been where I am at and I am also curious to know if anyone has complimented their program with a natural metabolic enhancer such as fat blaster or any other health food store available suppliment. regards, Markus. |

Re: Round 2
i dont think you need it, hasnt been that long!more of a mental thing than any-try it for a couple of weeks and then if yu haven't lost a kilo or two think about more costly measures.p.s. I am a second timer using orignal plan and refeed amounts i had took on 10.12 kilos back and i am now within 5 k of my goal.

Re: Round 2
Hey there markus
I'm also on Round 2 of Cohen's - My first round was actually back in 2005, I lost 12kgs in about 8 weeks, and was just about to start refeeding when I left my now ex-husband (he was extremely emotionally abusive to me and was the reason I tried Cohen's in the first place - as he told me I was completely unattractive with my extra weight). I kept the weight off for a good 6 months, despite not refeeding, but I think this was primarily due to the stress of leaving my ex-husband as I found myself with a HUGE amount of nervous energy, which I constructively put into a nightfill job at a local supermarket (I couldn't sleep anyway!) in addition to my full-time day job. Now, 5 years down the track, I have an absolutely a-mazing fiancee, and a beautiful healthy four-month old boy, but I also weighed 20kg more than my previous starting weight on Cohen's! Faced with this extra weight, and a whole closet full of clothes I couldn't get in to, I decided to pull out my original program, blow the heavy layer of dust off it, and start Round 2. So far so good, it's been almost 5 weeks since I started and I have lost over 11kgs - so I know that the formula definitely still works for me!! I think what is really helping me this time is that, on Round 2, I am doing Cohen's for the right reasons this time round, i.e. I am doing it for ME and not anyone else. My fiancee tells me every day that I am beautiful and would be just as happy if I hadn't started on Cohen's, but he also understands that it's about me feeling better about myself, and being happy and healthy. So markus, I salute you for giving it another go. I have actually really enjoyed it more the second time round, and the diet has a certain nice familiarity to it already!!! I hope it feels the same for you |

Re: Round 2
I agree Marcus - if it is working for you, great news don't change anything. 12 kg is not a lot to have to loose and you don't want to try and speed it up with any other supplements. I totally agree with mcpsych - not a good idea to supplement. Just the suggested vitamins etc
It is such a quick weight loss anyway and this is certainly at a good speed which will keep you happy that it's working and also have time to do some additional learning along the way. Are you male (sorry marcus has a masculine ring, and if so, you should loose quicker than we ladies anyhow). LB x

Re: Round 2
Wow, I totally can relate to Nelly. I did round 1 in 2009 and lost 42kg and just as I was nearing the end, my fiance told me he loved someone else and we broke up. I totally and utterly surrendered to emotional eating. A year later i've gained 18kg back and i'm 23kg off goal weight. This week i've just started on Cohen's round 2, but it took a while to be able to do this, to be in the right frame of mind, to want to do it all for me, to appreciate how good it felt to be slim and to want to be like that again for the rest of my life. Its only day 2, but feeling good and looking forward to getting into a bikini again by Jan. Its good to know there are others like me here in the forum, going through it all again like I am! Good luck to you all!

Re: Round 2
I can empathise with all of you in this thread. I too fell off the wagon, but all of my own volition and without any major emotional disturbance.
So I am about to commence Round 2 also. Good luck to you all. |

Re: Round 2
We are all still in the learning process.......just look at all this as a learning curve. You slipped up for awhile but you have come back to using the tools that were were given that really, really work. At least you have acknowledged your slip-up and taken the right steps to accomplish the end result. Congratulations and may the kilos fall off fast for you in 2011!! Happy New Year to you!
