Default Time to say hello!

I've been reading these forums for a week or so now, so I thought it was time to come out of lurkerdom and say hi!

My name is Annette, and I just got my first Cohen's program yesterday! I'm from Melbourne, have two kids (6 and 3.5yo), and I am desperate for Cohen's to work for me as I have around 50kg to lose. I've tried various different ways to lose weight, but I never seem to stick to them for very long, I think life just gets busy at times, and it's easier to succumb and go back to old ways than to fight it and stay organised. I've been preparing myself mentally for a couple of months now, so I hope that even in those busy times, I can do it. For me, organisation is going to be the key, so I just spent some time tonight weighing and bagging various different meats and seafood to freeze, to stay ahead of the game. Fingers crossed!

It's funny, because I am usually very committed to most things that I do. Most things, that is, except for things that involve ME! It's time to change that, I have to do this! Last year I started playing basketball again after many years, and I absolutely loved it! Well, that is until I got Plantar Fasciitis, which in the end stopped me from being able to play. Having gone down the orthotics route unsuccessfully, I have a sneaky suspicion that if I can just lose some of this extra weight, my heel problem might go away and I can play again, so that is one of my goals.

Anyway, tomorrow is day 1, and I am ready to do this!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Fazz, welcome to the forum. You will definitely gain a lot of encouragement from some amazing women on here who are all in the same boat as you. The program is well worth the effort.

Hi Mary! My first day went really well thank you so much for asking! I did it no problem and remarkably I wasn't hungry, though I'm expecting that to kick in on maybe day 2 or 3. Got a slight headache, but I knew that would happen, just the sugar withdrawals which will disappear in a few days.

Hi Fazz! Welcome! This program is absolutely amazing - so easy to follow and the best thing is you will loose a lot of weight in a short amount of time!

It's your bodies turn to heals itself with the right fuel. Just set your mind on being 100% committed, be determined and enjoy the journey of self discovery and a new slim you!!!
And don't see it as a diet (a short term solution) but as a lifestyle - your body needs these kind of foods.

50 kilo? I had 40 to loose but in a blink of an eye I only had to loose 30 now I am in my 20's to loose. You will be thrilled

And we are here to cheer you on! YOU CAN DO IT!
Take your shoes off sit down and make yourself comfortable in this forum and lets have a bit a family time

Start picturing yourself how you will look, what you will wear and what you would like to do.....
That helped me!
Hope your first day went well.

Hi Fazz,

I hope your second day is going well! Greeni is so right, it happens so quickly you will just wake up one day and notice the weight shifting! I started with just under 80kg to loose, and already, just over 4 weeks later, its only 60-something to go.

The forum is very supportive and I am sure you will feel at home in no time - most of us a highly addicted to the forum too!

Take care, and looking forward to seeing you achieve your goals!

Alli

Wow Alli, 20kg or so in just over 4 weeks, that is amazing, you must be so happy with yourself! I can only dream about that for now, but I will get there!

Thanks so much for popping in to say hi, already feeling very at home here, everyone is so lovely and supportive.

Oops, sorry Fazz, its actually only 11kg (only - LOL) at the 4 week mark, but it sounds nicer to say 60-something rather than nearly 70! I started with 78kg to go and after 4 weeks it was 67! Still pretty cool though - it happens so quick you will no doubt be thrilled!!!

Hiya Fazz

Welcome aboard the Funship Cohens, You are your Cruise Director and you will do great. I can only reiterate what others have already said. I found the secret for me is being organised, organised, organised & it works.

Take your time & get familiar with how it all works and you'll have it downpat in no time and it will all become 2nd nature.

Again Welcome and good luck on your new journey.

Cheers

Hi fazz! How are you going?? Hope your headaches are gone!!!!! Just know that your "motor is having an oil change" that means the nasties have to leave that gives headaches, after that it is clean and can start to run smoothly and you will see that in your great weight loss!

Great to have you joining us, friend! So excited to see your journey!

Alli, 11kg is still amazing, well done!!!

Curly, nice to meet you! I love the Funship Cohens analogy, too funny! I know the key for me will be organisation also, but what I'm loving about this program is how common the foods are, and how easy it is to mix and match and come up with a meal, so much easier than anything else I have ever done!

Greeni, you are such a sweetheart, you know that? I am travelling along really well here, day two is done and I'm ready for day three! Headache is still there, but luckily not enough of a problem that I need to take anything for it. I suspect it will still be with me for another day or two, but I know it will disappear eventually, and so will the sugar cravings, although, they actually haven't been too bad! Haha, an oil change, I like that! :P Thanks for checking in on me!

Hey Fazz!

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on a successful first couple of days
The headaches indeed will be gone soon enough, and you'll start to feel amazing, if you don't already

Organisation is really the key I think too. Well I know it is for me anyway. That and not allowing all those little things to get in the way of you reaching goal.
You have a very positive attitude, and I have a feeling you are going to go great guns. Am looking forward to following you on your journey! I have quite a lot of weight to lose also, even more than you, so I'll be here for the whole lot

Hope day 3 goes just as smoothly as the last two!

Elle

Oh Greeni, you're going to make me blush! I just uploaded some pics, as hard as that was, they are awful, but I'm keeping this journey real so it is what it is! Hopefully one day it'll be 'it was what it was'!

Do you really think I'm in the zone? Egad, I'm not sure?! I don't even know what the zone is yet, must go read the forum! haha
