Default Diet coke - how much is too much??

Well, I adore Diet Coke.

I don't drink coffee or tea - never have.
I prefer Diet coke taste over Coke Zero now.

So how much Diet Coke should I be drinking per day? I don't want to overdo it. Are there limits??

(I drink my water too & yep, go to the loo a lot! )

me too... but I have really cut back since on Cohen's. Don't have it everyday anymore.

Yep, max 1 litre per day - that is in total for soft drinks. So you if you have 1L of DC, thats it for the day.

Caffeine free is best, but not "the rule". If you are having caffeine in soft drinks, coffee is limited to 3 cups, but since you don't drink it, guess it doesn't matter.

(Have my Cohen's program with me at work)

Hi there,

I was having it most days but have cut it out because it slows my weight loss. I am one of those people who are more sensitive to it. If you find your weight loss is slower than average, maybe keep to lower amounts

Cheers

This is a good post - I agree with Butterfly that i reckon it slowed my weight loss as well.
I no longer drink diet coke at all - I liked my coffee to much, and have around 5 cups a day!
I don't miss it, and have also found I no longer have the bloated feeling either, which I am sure was from the diet coke.

I hope Cohens is going well for you TwistedLily - keep up the good work!

Hi there,

I would recommend that you avoid diet products during refeed if you find you are sensitive to them. I have done that because when I have them my weight spikes and because you need to monitor your body closely in refeed to guage its reaction (weight gain more than 1 kg) - you want to ensure that your weight gain is due to food and not other reasons. Otherwise you could repeat refeed days unnecessarily.

Cheers

Butterfly
