Default Need Cohen Friendly Travel Advice

Hi all,

I am heading to Sydney next month and have been crapping my pants at how I am going to manage while on Cohens. My sister thinks I should do away with all the weighing for the few days and just eat from room service or restaurants asking for Fish and Salad...but just the thought of doing that and leaving my meals up to someone else is cause for anxiety even with 4 weeks to go!

I have rung my clinic and they suggested taking some pre-cooked quiches for breakfasts and make up the salads and meat to eat for the other meals. I have to drive for 2 hours to get to the airport (I can use a car fridge here so not a problem) then fly for 1 1/12 hours to Sydney, catch a cab to the motel AND then try to figure out how I am going to cart it around everywhere without getting foodpoisoning from it not being in a fridge during the days.

My sister knows I am on Cohen's and she is supportive but thinks that 'one weekend' wont matter - I think it will and I do not want to leave it up to chance.

The motel only has a fridge and maybe a kettle. I have asked for a microwave but they said no, I also got a copy of the room service adn restaurant menu - that's just too scarey to think about. I have come to the conclusion that I want to take all my meals pre-cooked but not sure what. I will have to eat this on the run as it's supposed to be a weekend away with the girls - we are going to Pink Concert the first night then probably some touristy things the next day and we leave lunch time the following day.

This is what I will need:

Dinner: Day 1

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner: Day 2

Breakfast & Lunch: Day 3
(Dinner I will be home for)

Some idea's I have thought about are: AJ's Chicken Nuggets, Beef Stirfry (eaten cold out of a baggie on the run) & quiche. Fruit & Crackers for snacks are easy enough - just the main meals that scare me.

I haven't tried tuna yet but I thought the idea of having to drain it will be a bit messy on the run - maybe I could have this in the motel room in the morning and swap the meals around? I need my meals to be as easy in inconspicous as possible as if I make a fuss then I am sure I will cop some critism that I don't want/need.

I would love to know what tips or tricks that everyone else uses when they are travelling...

Default re meals on the run

Hi tomorrow is now,
I have a 2nd job, after my full-time work during the day, and I have to be prepared, i only have one hour when i get home to get to my other job, this is what i do for my meals.
I pre cook chicken burgers, or ham burgers from my allowance and I put all cooked vegies in the made up mince and I then I cook the burgers, I bag them in the freezer. It only takes 1 minute to thaw out in the microwave, and one burger is your meal, very filling. If you dont want to put your vegies in the burger you can make a salad. But at least your protein is already cooked. Makes my life easy on the nights I have to work. good luck, and have a safe trip. Enjoy the "PINK" sooooooooo jealous.
