And the winner is: yoghurt. Just weight it, and ready! Will take some getting used to as must be plain and fat-reduced (max2% fat).

Or chop your veg allowance in advance, freeze it. Have with poached or scrambled egg.

I have yoghurt 5 out of 7 days at least as the quickest and for some reason also lasts long.

Katrin

Hi Ang

I NEVER have yoghurt so if you dont like it, dont despair. Like Katrin said an egg is fine or choose cheese and have with yr veggie allowance. You can cut up the veg allowance the night before. Spray yr pan with oil, add veggies and egg (i fry mine not scrambled) and yr cheese and it only takes about 2 mins in my home! I know others have egg or cheese on 2 crackers with veggies for breakfast. Always start with protein first. You can also have a lunch or dinner choice for breakfast so cook that eve before and its ready to scoff in the morning. Pandora

Have you tried Deb's muffin recipe

http://newyouforum.com/smf/index.php?topic=538.0

Cohens Breakfast Muffins

I made these because I have to rush in the morning..so I make them the night before. Cover them with cling film and then nuke them in the morning.

2 crispbread
veg allowance diced finely
1 egg, beaten

Pulverise crisp bread until it resembles fine breadcrumbs. IN a bowl place diced veg and add beaten egg. Add crispbread to bowl and mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Take a mini muffin tin and spray with spray oil.... Spoon mix in.

Cook at about 180 for 15 mins. Leave to cool in pan and then they slip right out after about 5-10 mins.

Makes 8 mini muffins.

Absolutely fantastic and you can pre-prepare and freeze.

I was never a yoghurt lover at all but I have been having blended mango and vallia yoghurt ever day almost and I love it.
My other favourite is melted mozzarella on a crackers with sliced tomato - salt and pepper - just a few times per week. Good for lunch or breakfast.
Other days I have a beaten egg with mushrooms, spring onion and tomato.

All are good

take care Ang and great loss to date.

Cheers
Daisy.

Daisey

Just remember that you should try and limit your cheese to once a day and Feta once a week and only three times a week.

Just the way it reads it sounds as if you can have it every morning !!!!!!

Boiled eggs cooked hard the night before with greens microwaved for 3 minutes is a quick breakfast.

I also use a raminkan dish - they are good they are a one person size and I found you can zap the veggies like squash and mushrooms the night before - beat the egg then I add a dash of water and a little pepper and leave it in the fridge overnight and then 2 minutes in the microwave and let it sit a bit and its great scrambled egg - all up about three minutes to to have in the morning.

All good

Andy

Hi Pandora...sorry about the other post...don't know what happened there.

I thought that you could not mix protiens so wouldn't having egg and cheese be a deviation?

Our plans do vary. So even with our suggestions you have to check they match your allowances.

Mine says TRY LIMIT YOUR CHEESE THREE TIMES PER WEEK/MAXIMUM ONCE PER DAY (FETA MAXIMUM ONCE PER WEEK). I HAVE MOZZARELLA CHEESE EVERY OTHER DAY.
Mine also does not allow me to mix proteins unless it is from the sea. eg you can mix prawns and fish.
For example I can not have egg and cheese as that is blending.
I can have grilled tomato and other veg with meted cheese on a cracker. I usually save this for lunch a few times per week.

I have blended mango and Vallia yogurt every week day for b fast and an omlette (egg, mushroom, spinach and tomato) on weekends.

If you do like yoghurt and mango I can really suggest pre-blending it at the start of the week ( I do 5 services every Sunday night) and putting the single serves little containers (you could do this for for you and your daughter) so it is ready in the fridge each monring for b fast - you can not get any easier than that. Think of it as just opening a tub of one serve yoghurt. You can swap the fruit around for variety if you like. I am just taking advantage of the wonderful (overpriced) mango season.

Like Andy said you can also pre-scrammble your egg mix the night before too.

Hi there
I have the yoghurt with 1 packet of splenda and some diet orange soda. It's fast and easy. It saves my fruit for later.
I will also do a egg omlet with zuccini squash. I hate mushrooms don't care for inionsin my egg. So that's the only way I can handle the egg.
I probably have the yoghurt 7 out of 7. The only time I change it up is maybe a Sat. morn. or if I run out before I go to the grocery to get more.

Oops sorry guys - guess i missed this one! Elle replied to me on 28 Nov

quote " thought that you could not mix protiens so wouldn't having egg and cheese be a deviation?"
Quote - Spray yr pan with oil, add veggies and egg (i fry mine not scrambled) and yr cheese and it only takes about 2 mins in my home!

Guess i didnt quite spell it out enough so here goes once again ...

spray yr pan very lightly with oil, add veggies and egg. Or if you PREFER cheese instead of yr egg, have cheese from allowance with the veg INSTEAD!

I presumed we all already know that mixing proteins is a big no no and so took it for granted that i wld not advocate mixing proteins EVER before allowed to on refeed etc. I would never suggest any such a dastardly deed! Sorry for the mix up! Pandora
