Now if they'd come wrapped around a bunch of roses, then he could be forgiven!

Hope everyone had a terrific Cohen's Valentine's Day

at least you got something

i got a man in a bad mood, some very disheartening comments ('you dont need that stuff') and then he went out to rehearse with his band.

nice.

its not malicious on his part, he just doesnt remember stuff like valentines or birthdays or anniversaries or whatever. still memory requires cognition and cognition requires that one be in possession of a brain

dont worry though girls, hes feeling the pinch today, let me tell you.

on a happy note, the universe gave me a great valentines pressie.....i hit the 70's and i am way happy with that....mm better start getting his act together.....

cheers penny

Good for you Penny i am happy that you have made the 70's that is alot of hard work i must admit.

i am sorry to hear about your guy it sure puts a dampener on things when they act like little kids doesnt it. if it makes you feel better i have a real corker for you my ex hubby on christmas day 2002 woke up and told me he wanted a divorce and then proceeded to pack his stuff and move out to his mums house where we were all supposed to be having xmas lunch. turns out that he had been having an affair for up to 5 months without me knowing. i had no idea as he worked away from home and had been away for over 7 months only returning home every few weeks. he was only home 12 days in 6 months due to work commitments (well thats what he blamed anyway). no one had a clue not even his best mate who he worked side by side with.

so anyway that is my story. life does go on. maybe with your new found healthy self you may have the strength to decide if you really do need that kind of relationship as i have learnt that sometimes the cruelest part in life is trying to hold on to something that you know isnt right for you. i guess it come down to" do you really think and believe that this man really loves you." only you can answer that. jacin

I'm sorry you ladies didn't get anything nice on Valentine's Day. It's true many men don't get the sentiment side. Some men have been raised well, but for others like mentioned, and my hubby, they need some prodding. Lots of prodding, but not too much or they'll then call it "nagging!" LOL. I put up streamers, balloons, and decorated our kitchen table in red tablecloth, red plates and some choccies wrapped in red wrappers (cherry ripe & red milky ways). Hubby got a big card and a box of chocolate hearts which we shared with our children. He went out later and finally got me a card. It takes more work from us just to get something little and nice in return. Still the children had fun with the balloons and streamers.
