Just went on website and here is what they have to say.

Hermesetas is an artificial sweetner that taste like sugar but have either no calories or practically no calories.
In spite of their sweetening strength, the various types of Hermesetas have either an extremely low nutritive value (calorie count) or no calories at all.
The sweeteners Saccharin and Acesulfame-K are organic compounds that taste sweet but contain no calories at all. Saccharin is about 450 times sweeter than the comparable amount of sugar and Acesulfame-K around 200 times sweeter. These sweeteners are excreted from the body unused and unchanged.
This means that Hermesetas Tablets are completly calorie-free.

And I will attest to that....its the only sweetener I will use, both in tablet and powder form. No after-taste, tastes just like sugar!

Hi Mum,

Just be sure you DON'T buy "Hermesetas GOLD" (I think the packaging is sorta similar between the gold and the standard - so be careful).

Asy has some words re this :-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=224740#post224740

Do read the post before Asy's too, just to get some context,

Koh

And be careful - those little tablets are really sweet! I have to break mine in half because one tiny tab is about 2 teaspoons of sugar worth I reckon!

Actually jlou...I don't find that at all, I reckon all the other sweetners are overly sweet but 1 x Hermesetes tastes exactly the same as 1 x sugar to me. And it says on the pack 1 for 1.....hmmmmm. I guess it will just be trial & error for you mumandnana

Talking Re: hermesetas sweetener

Hi Honeybuns, thank you for your advice, I am looking forward to getting some as I cannot handle any of the others.I have not been drinking any of the allowed fizzy drinks for this reason. Also I am a bit scared of them as I have read some very bad reports about some of them on different sites on the web.
Yes mcpsych I am sure jlou is sweet enough already I guess I will be needing the whole pack to make any difference

yep, sweet as saccharin!!

I have to halve any sweetner I use as they all seem like 2 tsps to me. Mind you, when I am in Australia and can get a decent coffee, I make a double one in a mug so I can use a whole tablet!!

Hi lets.get.started, I googled the sweetner and read about it and it has saccharin in it which is one of the sweetners that I have read about and thought it best to stay away from but on Monday I will ring the number you gave me and check it out because like you say it could be helpful for others. Thanks for telling me. Does anyone have ideas about these dangers they talk of concerning the artificial sweetners? Happy journeys everyone.
