Default 10 Weeks In

Just started my 11th week. Commencement weight was 147kgs and weigh in 2 days ago was 127kgs- a fantastic loss of 20kgs!
Obviously I'm extremely happy with the program and hoping to maintain the average loss of 2kgs per week to be at my goal (or near it) by Dec 31.

I enjoy all the foods allowed especially steak and mushrooms but must say that due to the limit of foods I am finding the "prescription" a little mundane and have been trying different spices and cooking methods to try and a bit of excitement to the dinner table.

I keep telling myself that the program is for a short time and it is all about losing weight and becoming healthy. It is not supposed to be an exotic cullinary experience.

Anyway I am soldiering on to a better life.

there are some great curry recipes on the site,

I usually make a lunch batch or dinner batch and then freeze some or keep in the fridge for later. I have to warn you, purists would argue there is deviation potential in this method. In dividing mutiple portions you may end up with more meat and/or less vegetable in each portion. But it is a comprimise I am prepared to make and I have also managed to maintain the 2kg a week in losses.

I have also gone back to the guidelines and reviewed what we are and are not allowed, I didn't use sugar free gum, or sweetner in coffee, I have now for variety's sake. I didn't drink diet coke, now I do for variety. Same with mayo, ( or adding mustard powder with it to have with steak..)

The cauliflower feta soup is great, and I have delighted in mixing up those fishy proteins, couple of BBQ prawns for an entree and then some thinly sliced tuna and snapper from the rest of the allowance as sashimi ( Balsamic instead of soy, and the mayo mustard instead of wasabi)

I also make sure I buy the best quality I can afford, try the aged balsamic vinegars, they really are yummy and rich. Get the best steak you can afford...

Oh and recently I have managed to find Turkey which I have really enjoyed...

Everything sliced thinly to make the most of every morsel..

Sorry about the rave, hope this helps...and well done on your progress so far..

Thanks. The mustard powder in mayo is a great idea. I regularly have turkey which we buy as a steak made from the breast. Topped with mushrooms capsicum and onion this is one of my favourite meals.

All your advice is great. Thanks for the encouragement. And congrats to you too for what you've achieved.
