KARMA - should we applaud it or smite it???
If you notice, on the profile panel, under people's names and above their photos there's a thing that says "KARMA", and you can vote and give people an applaud, or a smite (vote against something they say) them. I'm wondering whether we should keep the system or trash it. So I thought I'd get some views on the idea. I'm away for the next couple of days, so I won't see this till the weekend, but have at it. Vote away. I'll make a decision when I get back.  asy.

Hi Asy - I agree that the karma should stay as you are giving that to someone that deserves it..either to a newbie, or someone
who has had a wonderful weight loss - or you like reading them etc..whatever reason, they deserve to get good karma NOW the smite..on the other hand..(in my opinion  ) I feel is just a little negative..no one needs to be punished for what they havesaid or have done.. I give karma to everyone I read or has responded to my post..and of couse to the newbies as they have just started.. Jules

I agree with Jules on getting rid of the smite. This forum is supposed to be supportive. Getting a smite, particularly if you have no idea what for or who gave it, could be quite devastating and turn someone right off the forum.
Maybe some guidelines on when to give karma? AJ

Started 11/1/08. Lowest weight reached 63.8 kgs on 10/11/08 and 40 kgs down. Thank you Dr Cohen. Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time. My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight. What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/ Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Unfortunately it's not that simple to get rid of the smite. At the moment it's an all or nothing affair.

Does the smite thingy take away your Karma?
I could have sworn the other day it said 6 and now its less Does that mean i have upset some people?
