Default 100% Cohen's Challenge - Fri 28/11 – Thu 11/12

Good morning Cohenites! Today is the day for the new challenge! Congratulations to all those who are claiming their mangos today, and good luck to all those who are starting out on this fortnight's challenge! Love to see those little dancing mangos in the signatures!

Asy and I are compiling a sticky with the rules and the instructions on how to claim your mango, so that should make it a bit easier for everyone. There aren't really any changes, we just wanted to ensure that everyone is on the same page. We will also start a new thread, closing off the old one, for every challenge. That should make it a bit easier to see what the dates are for the challenges and make sure the threads don't get overwhelmingly big.

So far, the participants in this round of the 100% challenge are:

New Ruby
Kezza
Samnich01
Shanara
Jamanoha
NBS
TwoZeds
Maria1969yellow
Nat
Polly
Mette (that’s me!)

If I've left anyone out, please let me know! Have a great, d-free fortnight everyone! It's the fastest way to complete the program!

Yay... once week down, 1 week to go.
How's everyone going?

Polly - If it was unintentional, is that still counted as a deviation? I think the general opinion was that if it was accidental, then that is not considered to be a deviation... but if you were to eat an extra cracker because you were hungry, that would be a deviation.
Could someone please correct me if I'm wrong?

Hi Polly,

Quote:

That cracker allowance wasn't a "Macca's cracker" was it? If it was, you're gone for this fortnight.

If it wasn't, it sounds like an "oops" to me.... What do you think, Mette?

Koh

PS And, Lisa, I like your take on it. I see a "deviation" as an intentional and considered step away from the path (as you outlined, LIsa - "I was hungry, so had an extra cracker" strikes me as quite different to "I forgot I'd added a cracker to my lunch chicken meal" then I had my usual afternoon tea cracker. Hmmm.... Adjudicator please !!! Let's get this sorted....

Koh

Mette is on a road trip with her beloved - don't think she is accessing her computer until she gets back which is just before this challenge finishes.

We might have to wait a little for the adjudication.

The danger I see with taking an accidental cracker as a deviation is the mind tricks that can play - the down energy that comes with - "I have deviated". To me intention is very important with this so I am with Lisa. I think a deviation is where someone has made an intentional deviation off the path. We are all human and sometimes just make a mistake. To 'punish' from that can lead to a downward spiral into "I just can't do this right" and its not working.

Polly - my vote is - its an accident - no deviation.

One of the things a lot of overweight people do is beat themselves up and 'punish themselves' a lot. I thikn one of theings we are learning to do on cohens is to be much, much kinder to ourselves. Our bodies love it.

blessings everyone
Shanara
