SA less complicated??

Just a quick question, something that's been bugging me ever since I joined this forum back in the day... From reading the diaries it became clear to me that my diet program (especially relating to the rules) differs from the other Cohenites and I also picked up that other ppl from SA would comment things like "what there's a limit on dried herbs?" which also arent stipulated on my program. In fact it seemed the were less rules on the SA plan than any other (like sugar free gum is ok in SA, as vanilla yoghurt etc). It also seems the non-SA clinics seem more involved with their clients than I know mine was. Did any of the other SA cohenites get the same impression?

Which leads me to the question, when I approach my refeeding stage, I wonder if I could join the online clinic instead of working through a SA based clinic?

Anybody any thoughts on this?

I also got that impression. First of all, you go to an info session with loads of other people - after you paid and got your first blood works? No before and during pictures taken (courtesy to us, I know, but it would've been nice). I hear some of overseas clinics even weigh their clients once a week if they want. And your refeed info session is also in a group (was only me and a guy though).

I also did not know about the 5g dried herbs, nor that if you use fresh garlic it should be weighed with your veggie allowance.

I was told no flavoured yogurt - not even fat free vanilla - but any fat free, any brand. The other countries have different types, 2% etc. and very particular about brands.

I'm just so glad that I found the forum when I did.

I wouldn't blame you if you want to try and find an alternative way - but the online programs are only 3 months (I suppose you could still do it when you get closer to refeed), and do you think the online consultants are from head office, or local?

I got the idea they are from headoffice... I'm using my plan from 2008 but there is no client number on (one of the requirements to have my diary approved).. mmmm... interesting

Just remember that this forum is in no way affiliated to the official Dr Cohen or 1st Personal Diet. I also never got a client number but it wasn't an issue with the forum. I had an Internet buddy who did Cohens and if I remember correctly she did mention that the consultants were from Head Office as she always had to wait for replies due to the time difference.

Hi, I do agree. I think some of the pages of my program got lost. Ha-ha . I also did not get a client number and for the intro we were a total of two people. But the thing that bothered me the most is when phone the consultants office, she was always busy and about a week later I would eventually get my answer. Also not sure what to do when time comes.
